TW: arguing, foul language, angst, glass, threats. (QSMP AU)
".....The fuck do you mean he's back!?" a certain ravenette screamed into his phone. "Wilbur wasn't meant to be back for another month! Good going, Walter. Now how are we meant to kill the eggs?!" The man continued, throwing a glass mug at the floor out of anger, the glass shattering and sending shards scattered in every direction, and a few scratches on the duck hybrid's skin. "It's not like we can control when he comes back. His plans changed, what were we meant to do?!" A blonde Federation worker screeched back.
"What you were MEANT to do is close the portal! What you're GOING to do now is KILL him, and bring Tallulah to me," ordered the angry hybrid with a scowl. "If you fail I will banish you from this island, and make sure that you never see your family again!" ElQuackity threatened, hanging up on Walter before he could even respond. The black-haired male leaned against his counter with crossed arms. "Fucking imbecile," the man muttered, sighing and rubbing his temples. The one day that Tallulah and Phil were supposed to be alone, of course Wilbur had to come back. ElQuackity had put off killing the eggs until Chayanne and Dapper were sleeping, so it would've been the perfect day to launch the plan.
Despite having put his phone down a couple of seconds ago, it began to buzz once again. The ravenette picked up, eyes red with anger. "WHAT!?" He screamed, afraid of the voice that responded. "That's no way to greet a friend," a high pitched voice said, laughing at the hybrid's silence afterwards. "My apologies, Cucurucho. Walter was being an idiot again; I assumed it was he whom was calling," answered ElQuackity calmly. "I understand. I should probably fire that guy, but he is doing an okay job with keeping in control, unlike our old apprentice." The ravenette cringed at the mention, Kori was awful at enforcing things.
"That doesn't matter though. I was just calling to let you know that you've got a guest heading your way," the bear hybrid chuckled, looking out his own window at the tall brunette that approached Quackity's home, a little girl holding his hand with a smile. "What." ElQuackity peaked out the window, growling when he glanced at the two. "Great. Just wonderful. I can't murder Tallulah's father in front of her," he panicked, hands shaking. "What do you suggest I do?"
"Act normal. Wait until he leaves, then is the time to strike. You leave your house, wait until Tallulah is in bed, then, BAM! You sneak into his home and kill him. Be sure not to wake the child." ElQuackity wanted to kill the eggs, yes, but because of Quackity, he had a small attachment to the brunette girl. He didn't have the heart to kill her father in front of her, and he definitely didn't have the heart to kill her. Maybe he didn't have a heart at all though, he sure acted like it.
"Right. I gotta go now, he's at my door," ElQuackity bit his lip and hung up then phone, walking towards the door just as a small knock was heard. To the hybrid's surprise, when he opened the door, Tallulah wasn't smiling like she previously had been. She looked afraid, terrified, even. "Wilbur!...." ElQuackity put on a fake smile, allowing the two inside and shutting the door behind them. "When did you get back from tour?" He tried to strike up a conversation.
"Yesterday, actually. It was quite late when I returned," answered Wilbur, picking up him daughter and allowing her to bury her face into his neck. "Is Tallulah okay....?" Something struck inside of the ravenette, he felt worried for the half-dragon. "She's okay, she just seems to be afraid of you for some reason," Wil explained, rubbing the child's back. "See? It's just Quackity, he won't hurt you."
'You got half of that statement right,' ElQuackity thought. "I wouldn't hurt you princess," he said out loud. 'Not physically,' he thought. "Oh, she's sleeping...." Wilbur trailed off, looking at his sleeping daughter. "Do you have somewhere I can lay her?"
'I can complete the mission right now..... But why do I feel so upset about doing it?' he thought, biting his lip and looking up at Wil. "Oh, uh, yes. There's a bed upstairs...." (Just pretend for the plot....) "
"Thank you," said Wilbur when he came back downstairs, looking less happier than moments ago. "You don't seem like your normal self, Q. What happened whilst I was gone?" The ravenette hesitated, failing to come up with a believable excuse. "I uh- what do you mean different?"
Wilbur frowned, looking into the other's eyes. "For starters, your eyes are a shade brighter, Tallulah told me that she was scared of you, and you're not your usual flirty, funny, always making jokes self. Duckling, are you okay?" ElQuackity's face turned red, not used to nicknames like Quackity was. "I-I'm fine," he stuttered, looking down. Wilbur reached over and grabbed the other's chin, brown eyes meeting hazel. "My eyes are up here, darling," Wilbur smirked as the other got even more flustered. (W rizz)
"Wil, stop...." The younger complained, looking away. "What's up with you my duckling? You seem more distant," Wilbur observed as ElQuackity walked towards his stove, steeping some tea that he'd previously been making. "I don't know, Wil. You were gone for two months, things change over time, and so do people. You just have to get used to change sometimes..." The hybrid trailed off, wings flickering slightly.
"You're not my Quackity," Wilbur said with no emotion. The shorter began to panic, afraid that his cover had been blown. "What do you mean? I'm Quackity!" He said in a shaky voice, taking the broom from the corner and beginning to sweep up the broken glass from earlier. "You were angry before we got here. If you were to simply have dropped the cup, then I wouldn't see that crack in the tile, and the pieces wouldn't have spread out like this. Your arm, my darling, it's bleeding," observed the taller, taking hold of ElQuackity's arm.
"I don't know what you're talking about," responded the other, dumping the glass in the trash can and pulling his arm away. However, he couldn't even get the chance to put the broom away before the brunette took hold of both of his hands, pinning him on the wall behind. "Let me go!" The shorter demanded.
"Do you remember what you told me before I left?" Wilbur asked. "I forgot.... I say a lot of stuf-" ElQuackity got cut off, soft lips brushing against his own in a kiss. At first the shorter felt tempted to pull away, but gave in, craving affection from someone. He felt himself slipping, closing his eyes as they continued. Wilbur ran a hand through his black hair, pulling away and kissing him forehead as the two gasped for breath. And slowly, Quackity opened his eyes.
"Wilbur? You're back!" The ravenette smiled, jumping into his arms. Wilbur picked him up by the thighs and hugged him. "No, you're back. Hello my love," smiled the other, giving the hybrid a small peck and nuzzling his face into his hair. "I love you, mi amor."
"Love you too, my duckling. Now let's clean these cuts before they become infected."
