TW: None, enjoy a break
Foolish looked at each individual in the room; none of them knew why they were there. What they did know, however, is that the Federation wanted to take their kids in a 'camping trip' without parents. As suspicious as it sounded, all of the eggs still had one more day left for tasks, and it was Sunday, so the parents had no choice unless they wanted their egg to lose a life.
Everyone looked worried, some even suggesting that the Federation would go as far as murdering their kids in front of them, but others thought that even the evilest of the Federation could never do such a thing.
Worried whispers were shared between parents, every so often somebody would be caught looking hopefully at the curtains in front of them, wondering what would happen when they were drawn. Maybe it was all a trap for some presidential candidates to lose their own lives. Perhaps the Federation would announce that the dragon had come back for its kids, which seemed like the most likely option.
"What if they kill us all?" One of the French people panicked. "Stop thinking negatively, maybe it's a good thing! What if we're allowed the leave the island?" Foolish laughed to himself when he heard that. "Oh please, we aren't leaving this island anytime soon," a Brazilian answered, scoffing afterwards. Sometimes being worried made them rude.
All went silent when the red velvet curtains were drawn, revealing one of the workers from the Federation, Walter Bob, they all remembered. Fit and Phil couldn't help laughing to themselves when they saw the man again.
"Good evening Quesadilla Island residents! If you don't know me, I am Walter, or 'Waltuh' as some have called me," the worker paused, looking at the two men that were laughing so hard but trying to keep silent. "Anyways, a bet you're all wondering why you're here," the blonde paused. "Where are our kids?!"
"Trust me, you'll find out soon enough," Walter laughed ominously. "Nah, that laugh was hella sus, give our kids back!" The worker slapped himself in the face, "I don't get paid enough for this..... As I was saying, you're here not for a bad thing, but a good one. Well, depends what you consider good and bad, but that laugh wasn't meant to suggest this were bad," he paused again, glaring at the side of the curtain and putting one finger to his lips. "It seems someone is getting impatient," Walter growled. "You're here because the it has been nearly three months since you've gotten your eggs, and, well, I'll let you see for yourself," he smiled. He actually smiled, and waved his hand in that motion that people do when they want you to follow them.
Hesitantly, a small figure approached on stage. She had blonde hair, a red and green dress with long socks and Mary Jane shoes. She had red wings and small grey horns, along with a smudge of blue and red on the sides of her face.
"I think you all recognize this child," announced Walter. "Your children are safe; they've hatched." Cheers erupted from the crowd as Pomme made her way off the stage and to the French people. "Hello," she said shyly, 'awws' being shared. From the side of the stage, another hybrid came with black hair and black wings, but he looked a lot similar to what he did as an egg. "Dapper!" Bad shouted, his son running to him. "Aw, look at you!"
One by one, all of the eggs appeared on stage, running to their parents immediately afterwards. "Alright, I get it, exciting, but silence!" Walter said into his mic, everyone shutting their mouths. "The Federation wanted to do something nice for you all. Of course, the eggs hatching was meant to happen on their own, but, we've done something for those of you who.... I guess, weren't the best parents."
Confused, the crowd shared glances. "Cucurucho, it's time!" Walter yelled. They all panicked for a second, afraid of being blown up or something, but quieted down when an odd noise was heard from the side of the stage. Another hybrid appeared, but in a ghostly form. "You all have been allowed one more day with your dead children, but they will disappear tomorrow. Now leave," Walter said.
"Bobby!" Jaiden screamed when she saw her son, running up to hug him. "I'm so sorry," she said, picking him up and spinning him around.
Let's just say, the Island sure wasn't expecting this from the Federation. They suspected something horrible was about to happen......
