When they got there, no one was allowed to see Izzy because they were obviously tending to him, so the four friends piled out of the car and into the waiting room, waiting for their friend.

"You know this is gonna take hours right?" Steven mumbled to Axl after about an hour. "So?"

"What about your dad?"

"He doesn't matter right now. When I get home, he'll do something and then it will be over with. I wanna be here when visitors are allowed."

"Okay. I just wanted to know." Steven gave him a small, sad smile; Axl returned it.

"Have they even called Sonja?" Duff asked, expecting to see her and her children already. "Probably not. They'll most likely call her after they know Izzy's alright." Slash answered, shrugging. Duff just nodded.

They sat around, completely silent almost the whole time. They would occasionally look at each other, but say nothing; the four didn't really know what to say.

Finally, after three hours, a doctor came outside, calling for anyone who was there for Jeffrey Dean Isbell; the four friends immediately stood. "How are you guys related to Jeffrey? That doesn't change anything, we just need to know."

"Uh, his best friends; all four of us." Duff answered. "Does he have any biological family around?"

"Yeah, his mom's at work right now." Axl quickly said, trying to get though all the questions and see his best friend. "Her names Sonja Isbell, she works at the phone company." Slash piped up, thinking that they may need that information. "Thank you boys."

"Wait, is he okay?" Steven asked. "He's alive. We gave him Naloxone; a medicine that helps reverse opioid overdoses. We helped him breath, and helped him the best we could. He's actually really lucky that you were there for him."

"Can we see him?"

"Now, I know you want to see him, but he needs to rest for a little while longer before seeing anyone. An overdose can be really overwhelming."

Axl huffed, but nodded, "We understand. Thanks." The doctor went back to his job while the four boys sat back down again. They sat in silence for a good five to ten minutes before Steven spoke up, "Shit, you guys were there?"

"Yeah." Duff nodded. "Well, I wasn't. Duff and Ax were." Slash quickly spoke, feeling guilty if someone thought he did help when he really didn't.

"I'm sorry. That's really scary." Steven mumbled; he remember back to the time he had to help one of his old friends, from San Fernando Valley, with an overdose. He hoped Izzy didn't experience as much trauma and pain as his friend did; in the back of his mind, all that hope crushed, he knew Izzy wouldn't be the same.

After another hour and a half, it was now 8:32 pm, the same doctor came outside, asking for the boys. "You may now see Jeffrey. He's been asking for you guys and his mother." The four boys stood up and followed the doctor. Axl was nervous to see Izzy, he didn't know how Izzy was feeling or anything.

When they walked in, Izzy had his back turned, and he was in the fetal position. The doctor left and the four friends just stood, not knowing what to say. Finally, Axl walked up to the bed and placed his hand on Izzy's side, lightly rubbing his thumb into Izzy's shirt.
