Kartik, Naira, Tanya, and Shravan are sitting in the car, continuing their journey. Kartik, feeling a sense of relief, musters the courage to make a request.
KARTIK
Naira, can you please call my parents and let them know that I'm safe? They must be worried sick about me.
Tanya, suspicious and accusatory, interrupts, pointing her finger at Kartik.
TANYA
Wait a minute! How can we trust him? He could be the traitor we've been warned about!
Naira, her trust in Kartik unwavering, steps in to defend him.
NAIRA
Enough, Tanya! Kartik has proven himself to us. I trust him, and we need to give him a chance.
Tanya and Shravan exchange shocked glances, taken aback by Naira's sudden change in behavior. Naira takes out her phone and starts dialing Kartik's parents' number.
Naira dials the number but cuts the call before anyone picks up. She looks at Kartik, her eyes searching for reassurance.
NAIRA
Promise me, Kartik. Promise me that you won't reveal anything about us. It's for your safety.
Kartik, understanding the gravity of the situation, nods solemnly.
KARTIK
I promise, Naira. I won't say a word that could jeopardize any of us.
Naira lets out a sigh of relief and hands the phone to Kartik. She instructs him on what to say to his parents.
NAIRA
Tell them that you're safe and sound. Say that after I left you in the jungle, you managed to catch a bus that took you to another state. You're with an old friend there. Make them believe that you're out of harm's way.
Kartik takes the phone, putting it on speaker. He dials his parents' number, and as his mother picks up, he hands the phone to Shravan.
KARTIK
Hello, Maa.
SWARNA
Kartik, my son, how are you? Where are you? Tell me I will come to take you. Did naira do anything to you?
KARTIK
Maa, I am safe. Naira left me in the middle of the jungle, so I took a bus from there and it dropped me in another state.
MANISH
Tell us where are you, we will come to take you.
VEER
Kartik are you sure that you are not lying to us, are you forced?
Kartik looks towards naira and says "No Veer, trust me I am fine, I am with my friend tarun, talk to him."
VEER
Who Tarun, Kartik?
KARTIK
Arey just talk to him

SHRAVAN (speaking as Tarun )
Hello, Aunty. This is Tarun, Kartik's friend. He's safe and staying with me in another state. I can assure you that he's alright.
Kartik's parents express their relief and concern, and his mother requests to talk to him. Kartik signals to Shravan to continue the conversation.
Veer's voice is heard in the background, anxiously asking if Kartik is okay. Kartik takes a deep breath and responds.
