INT. CAR - NIGHT
The soft hum of the engine fills the air as the car glides through the streets of Paris. Naira, her voice slightly slurred due to the alcohol, gathers her courage to share a deeply buried part of her past with Kartik.
NAIRA (with a mix of hesitation and determination)
Kartik, there's something... something I've kept hidden for so long. I think... I think you deserve to know.
Kartik casts a sidelong glance at her, his eyes full of concern, silently encouraging her to continue.
NAIRA (contemplative)
When I was just fourteen, my life turned upside down. My father, Naitik, and his older brother, Nikhil, they were entangled in a property dispute. It spiraled into something darker, something I never expected...
Kartik's grip on the steering wheel tightens, his knuckles going white as he braces himself for what's to come.
NAIRA (emotionally)Nikhil... he tampered with the brakes of the car my parents were in. They... they didn't make it...
Naira's voice cracks, her words laden with the weight of the pain she's carried for years.
NAIRA (cont'd)
After they were gone, my life took a nightmarish turn. My aunt, Nikhil's wife, she... she turned me into a servant, a punching bag for her anger. I was subjected to relentless abuse, physically and emotionally...
Kartik's eyes glisten with a mix of sympathy and anger, his heart aching for the young Naira who had endured so much.
Naira's voice cracks, and she lifts her top slightly, showing Kartik the scars on her body, remnants of the horrors she endured.
NAIRA (teary-eyed)
And then, at sixteen, Nikhil... he held a gun to me. In that moment, I was convinced it was the end, that he'd pull the trigger...
Naira's voice trembles, her vulnerability laid bare in front of Kartik.
NAIRA
Somehow, I managed to escape that night. I ran, found my way to Shravan. He was there for me.Kartik's grip on the steering wheel loosens as he processes the intensity of Naira's story.
NAIRA (looking away, lost in memories)
The pain, the fear... it led me to the Midnight Enclave, a mafia gang. It became my refuge, a way to take control, to not feel helpless anymore.
Kartik's gaze remains on Naira, his heart a mix of compassion and admiration for her resilience.
KARTIK (softly)
Naira, I can't even imagine what you've been through... I'm so sorry you had to endure such suffering alone...
The car comes to a gentle stop on the quiet Parisian street. Naira's tears flow freely as she bares the painful chapters of her past. Kartik's heart aches as he listens, and he immediately reaches out to console her.
KARTIK (softly)
Naira, I'm here with you. Let it out, it's okay.
Naira's voice quivers as she speaks, her vulnerability exposed in the darkness of the car.
NAIRA (voice cracking)
Kartik, you have no idea how heavy this burden has been. For so long, it felt like I was drowning, suffocating in my own silence.
Kartik's hand moves from the steering wheel to gently hold Naira's trembling hand, offering a warm reassurance.
KARTIK (gentle)
You don't have to carry it alone anymore, Naira. I'm here, right beside you.
Naira wipes her tears with the back of her hand, her emotions raw and unfiltered.
NAIRA (teary-eyed)
It's just... the pain, the fear. It consumed me. I thought if I never spoke about it, it would disappear, but it never did.
Kartik's touch is a lifeline, a steady presence in the midst of Naira's emotional storm.
KARTIK (whispering)
I can't imagine what you've been through. But you're not alone in this anymore. I'm here to listen, to share your pain.
Naira sniffles, her emotions threatening to overwhelm her.
NAIRA (voice trembling)I'm scared, Kartik. Scared that if I open up, people will see the shattered pieces of me, the darkness I've been carrying.
Kartik's gaze is unwavering, a wellspring of compassion and understanding.
KARTIK (earnestly)Naira, when you share your pain, it doesn't make you broken. It makes you brave, strong beyond measure.
Naira's tearful eyes meet Kartik's, and in that moment, she feels seen and heard like never before.
NAIRA (softly)
You make me believe that maybe I can heal, that my past doesn't have to define me.
Kartik's thumb tenderly brushes against the back of Naira's hand, a gentle reminder of his presence.
The two stared at each other in the eyes before Naira leaned closed to him, close enough to smell the manly scent of his perfume. Naira could see the birthmarks on his face. She wanted to know everything there was to know about Kartik. She wanted his lips on her own. All Kartik could hear was the sound of his own heart pumping in his chest, never beating as fast.
He could fell the adrenaline in her veins, making him long more and more for her lips.Naira pressed her lips gently onto Kartik's, her head tilted left, hers tilted right, noses touching each other's cheeks. His lips were soft and gentle, caressing her own in the slightest of the movement. They shared a kiss until they were breathless. Not even the ogling spectators, Shravan and Tanya could take away from their moment.
