"So, what do you think?"

With light glinting dramatically off his sunglasses, Karamatsu stands proudly in the middle of the Matsuno living room, his outstretched arm presenting a piece of paper to the rest of his brothers sitting around the living room kotatsu. What's this paper, you may ask? Well.. looks like there's a music appreciation night happening in the area. Any and all "musicians" are invited, and Karamatsu seems to believe that this could finally be his big break (and an easy way to rake in an adoring fanbase of Karamatsu girls).

Instead of a proper response though, his five siblings simply give him the same unamused expression they typically give Karamatsu whenever he shamelessly proposes a dumb idea. This reaction prompts a pout from Karamatsu, followed by him slouching his back and slumping his shoulders, effectively deflating.

"Aw, come on dear brothers! Surely you can support me as a man as I follow the whims of my heart! I can just tell that this is my true calling!" He clutches the paper in his hand for emphasis, and turns his dramatic, piercing gaze towards the living room window, a yearning expression on his face. "For years I've lived the life of a no-good low-life NEET. But now.. I can truly indulge in my passions. I can become the man I was always meant to be!"

Todomatsu's face contorts and he nearly gags at the display. "Painful."

Before anyone else can utter a response, Choromatsu speaks up. "Uh, Karamatsu, how can I put this nicely? You-"

However, Ichimatsu quickly finishes that thought for him. "If you go to that meeting you'll make an utter fool not only of yourself, but out of the entire music industry as a whole. Your complete incompetence and douchiness will do irreparable damage to both your dignity and ours by proxy. Do everyone a favor and forget it."

Karamatsu feigns an offended gasp, not that he's at all surprised by his brothers' reactions of course, he just needs it for dramatic effect. "Brother, you wound me! Do you all really feel this way?"

Everyone in the room, even Jyushimatsu who had appeared to be daydreaming this entire time, nods in response.

Karamatsu falters at this only briefly before adjusting his sunglasses and turning his head, quickly masking his slight disappointment with a quirked smile.

"Heh, I see.. Some people just don't know true talent and passion when they see it I guess. But I'm sure if I give it a shot at the meeting they'll recognize my commitment and passion to my music! Yes, I'll definitely have them swooning over me in no time. I'll be crawling with Karamatsu girls!"

Choromatsu's eyebrow twitches and he brings a hand up to pinch at the bridge of his nose. "He's officially gone crazy hasn't he?"

Ichimatsu responds with a sigh, returning to the cat-themed magazine he was reading earlier. "He's been off the deep end for a long time now."

But Karamatsu simply returns to his usual self-assured pose, hands on his hips in determination. "You'll see! Before long you'll all be wishing you had the same chutzpah as your dedicated and passionate virtuoso brother - Karamatsu!"

Todomatsu now truly looks as though he is about to have an aneurysm at the unending stream of asinine words flooding from his older brother's mouth. "Since when have you ever used the term "chutzpah" before? Do you even realize how absolutely painful you sound right now?? God you're really insufferable!!"

Osomatsu sighs and shakes his head as he places a hand on Todomatsu's shoulder. "Calm down, Totty. No use getting yourself worked up. You know when Karamatsu gets his mind set to things like this he isn't swayed by logic."

Karamatsu simply chuckles in response, turning to face away from his brothers in favor to pose dramatically towards the window where orange light streaming in from the setting sun casts a dramatic shadow behind him.
