7 - Preparing for a Special Visitor

You start to get impatient waiting for a response back from Karamatsu, so to kill some time you get up to wash your dishes.

You're going to end up seeing him at some point today, right?

What should you say to him?

Should you put something nice on? Do your makeup?

He'll only see you for a minute right? So it shouldn't matter. But... for some reason you really don't want to make a bad impression. This might be your chance to actually make a friend here, and that would definitely help with the sense of isolation you've been feeling lately. Living alone hasn't been easy..

As you go to dry your dishes you hear your phone ping. That's probably him.

You smile and walk over to grab your phone off the table and see what he said.

'Well..
Me and my brothers are going to be visiting our parents today for lunch, so you can stop by their house later if you want to drop it off there. You can even join us if you'd like!
No pressure though!
I'll send you directions'

You blink in surprise. Wait. So all of his siblings and parents are going to be there? Oh jeez.. yeah, you'll definitely have to work hard to make a good impression now. Talk about pressure!

'Oh, really? I don't mean to impose!
If you're busy today I can always drop it off at your place tomorrow!'

Before long another text from him comes through

'No, no, I insist!
It's no issue at all!'

Little do you realize, Karamatsu actually finds it painful to type those words. He definitely isn't eager about having to introduce you to his brothers. But, at least he can temporarily go under the guise that they're just visiting their parents and don't actually all live together.

You smile a little and text him back.

'Sure.
Just send me the directions and let me know what time works best for you!'

After texting you the directions and telling you that noon is fine, Karamatsu sighs heavily and let's his head fall flat onto the kotatsu.

"I can't believe this."

Osomatsu stands up and grins.

"I don't know what you're talking about, bro. I'm excited! When's the last time we've had a girl over besides Totoko?"

Karamatsu just groans in defeat.

Osomatsu chuckles and pats Karamatsu's back. "It'll be fiiine~ I'll behave just for you since you apparently like this girl so much."

"Thanks.."

Slowly but surely the brothers scatter from the living room and go about their days. Karamatsu takes this chance to use the bathroom and freshen up. After all, he has to look his best for you.

After showering he wraps a towel around his waist and blow drys his hair. It frizzes up pretty bad though, so to tame it down he uses some gel and tries his best to give it a slightly tousled bad-boy look.

Once he's satisfied with his appearance he smiles and winks at himself in the mirror. He then saunters over to the bedroom to pick out an outfit to wear. Should he go for something flashy? Wait no. If he was just coming to visit his parents why would he be dressing flashy? It's best to play it safe for now and stick with a pair of black skinny jeans, white t-shirt, and navy blue cardigan. It juxtaposes a bit with his initial "bad-boy" look, but it'll do the job.

It doesn't look like he's the only one getting ready either. Across the room is Todomatsu holding up two different tops he's debating between, and Choromatsu is combing his hair meticulously in the mirror. I guess this is the first time a person has been over to visit in awhile, let alone a pretty girl. So it only makes sense that his brothers would be trying to make a good impression for a change.
