4 - An Interesting Night

Next you know it, Karamatsu is attempting to help you up to your feet.

"Can you stand okay?"

You huff indignantly and pull away from him. "I'm *fine*. I can hold my liquor."

His eyes widen as he notices your elbow almost knocks over your empty glass, and he quickly reaches forward to grab your wrist and pull you back towards him. "Ah, careful!"

Your sense of gravity is totally thrown off, so instead of steadying yourself you end up falling face first into Karamatsu's bedazzled chest. The tiny sequins kind of hurt your cheeks but.. he's so solid. And warm. You find yourself lingering there longer than you probably should.

Meanwhile Karamatsu is flustered and turning beet red. "H-Hey, are you alright? Here, l-let's get you home, okay?"

You grunt a little in response and nuzzle at his chest without thinking. So warm.. And with such a thin piece of fabric separating the two of you, you can really feel his heart beating.

Karamatsu practically dies and turns into a ghost. Oh god, what is he supposed to do? A girl who he thinks is very cute has gotten tipsy and is nuzzling him. Oh no, he's never been in a situation like this. What should he do??

He clears his throat harshly and grabs you by the shoulders to straighten you up. "T-There, come on. We should go. Just.. h-hold onto me if you need to."

You pout but stay straightened up. "Mm, I'm fine.."

He hesitates before wrapping an arm around your waist to support you, and stretches his other arm out to grab his guitar from beside the barstool. After getting it situated comfortably to carry, he begins leading you to the door. "Come on, tell me the directions to your place. Or is there someone you know who can come pick you up?"

You shrug and lean into Karamatsu. "Dunno anybody close by.."

"Oh.. yeah. I guess that makes sense. Well.. just tell me where to take you then, okay? I'll make sure you get home safe." He goes ahead and leads you out of the bar.

"Which way should we go from here? Right or left?"

You squint at Karamatsu, scrutinizing him under the soft illumination of a street light. "Wait a second... I shouldn't tell a man I just met where I live. You might stalk me or take advantage of me! How can I know how genuine you're being, hmmm?"

Karamatsu's eyes grow comically wide and he shakes his head so fast you can barely see him. "N-No, I would never take advantage of a lady who's not totally in control of her senses! Never!! I just want to make sure you get home safely!"

You study Karamatsu's face for a moment to judge his sincerity before reaching up to take off his sunglasses. "I can't see your eyes with these things on. What's up with them anyway? It's night time. Why do you need sunglasses? Does the moon hurt your eyes?" You end up laughing at your own dumb joke which.. wasn't even really a joke. Or funny.

Karamatsu blushes and huffs at that. "Hey, just because you're tipsy doesn't mean you can go making jokes at my expense, little lady."

Your laughter settles down into giggles. "Yeah, yeah, sorry~" You look up to see Karamatsu's expression, and in this lighting, without his sunglasses, his features are actually nicely accentuated. You end up mentally scanning over his face. You haven't seen him this close up before. His facial features are balanced nicely between soft and sharp, making him not too rough or effeminate looking. His eyebrows are sharp and have an arch most women would kill for, yet his almond shaped eyes appear soft and kind. His nose is straight and ends with a subtle upturned tip. His lips are average sized, yet surprisingly soft looking, with a warm pink hue. His hair is raven black and combed over, though it looks a bit shaggier now than it did earlier at the meeting. Honestly.. looking at him like this, he's.. actually rather attractive.
