*Knock Knock*
NamJoon knocked on the door but didn't get a reply so he slowly opened the door. "YoonGi-ah, everyone is here...." NamJoon's voice trailed off as he noticed the room was dark and YoonGi was curled up in his blankets in his bed. He walked over to YoonGi's bed and knelt down next to it, lightly running his fingers along YoonGi's arm. "Hey Baby, I know you're tired but we still have to talk to the guys after we eat." NamJoon whispered. YoonGi groaned, pulling his blanket over his head.
NamJoon chuckled lightly. "Come on Baby, you can sit next to me." He whispered into his ear then lightly kissed the outside of his ear. "Fine." YoonGi breathed out as he sat up but had to take a minute to get his bearings. NamJoon held his hand out for YoonGi, he took hold of his hand and stood from his bed.
YoonGi and NamJoon walked to the dining room table together, their hands laced together, NamJoon sporting his beautiful dimple smile, and poor YoonGi still looked exhausted. YoonGi's hair was sticking out all over as he tried running his free hand through it. NamJoon helped YoonGi to sit in his seat before he pulled up his own chair next to him. "Thank you so much for the food YoonGi-ah. Did you sleep well?" SeokJin spoke up wearing a soft smile. "What?" YoonGi whispered in confusion, not fully awake yet. "You did all of the real work in making our meal. Thank you." SeokJin explained. "Oh. Yeah. Anything for you guys." YoonGi replied with a small smile back and a shrug of his shoulders.
Small conversations went around the table and the food was being passed around. After most of them were at least halfway through their meal YoonGi thought he should probably eat a little something. Watching YoonGi finally start to eat something had JiMin smiling, he was worried for his boyfriend's health but seeing him eat something allowed him to relax enough that he could finish his own meal.
They all quickly finished their meal, everyone enjoying YoonGi's cooking and thanking him for it. The table was quickly cleared, dishes were washed by TaeHyung and NamJoon, JiMin and JungKook cleared off and wiped down the table. After finishing their tasks everyone sat back around the table.
"This isn't the easiest conversation but we all know it has to happen. Bang Pdnim is asking if we have decided yet so I wanted to know what all of your thoughts are and we can all talk openly before making a decision." NamJoon spoke up, starting the conversation. "Okay, we all have to enlist. There is no getting around that." "I think we are all willing to serve our country Joon-ah. None of us are trying to get out of that." YoonGi spoke up. Everyone nodding in agreement. "Yes but are we all going to enlist at once or staggered?" NamJoon asked.
They all looked around at each other, unsure of how to respond. YoonGi breathed out then started the conversation. "If we all enlisted at once then we could all be together, get it over with, and return to our group activities faster." He took a quick breath before continuing with his thought. "With that said I would never want to force our younger boyfriends to enlist before they are ready." He spoke as he looked at JungKook, TaeHyung, and JiMin. "They have years before they have to enlist. They should be able to choose." YoonGi went from looking at the three younger to looking at NamJoon next to him. "Regardless I will be enlisting first with Jinie, we are the oldest and we don't really have the option of waiting much longer." SeokJin nodded in agreement with YoonGi.
As NamJoon looked around the table, everyone was quiet. They all seemed to be deep in thought. "Well I guess we know what YoonGi thinks and SeokJin agrees. Obviously they don't really have the option to wait. What do the rest of you think?" NamJoon directed the conversation. "I will be enlisting along with them." HoSeok spoke up. "I would like for all of us to go at the same time but I would understand if our younger boyfriends want to wait. I agree with YoonGi." HoSeok spoke firmly. 'It seems he has thought about this already.' NamJoon thought as he nodded showing HoSeok he understood. "I'm enlisting with you guys." JungKook spoke up quickly. "I think enlisting all together would be nice. Maybe we'll all get to stay together."
JiMin and TaeHyung both looked at each other, nodding in a silent agreement. "The three of us have talked about this before and we all agree that we would like to enlist together." JiMin spoke up. "So... We are all enlisting together?" NamJoon asked to clarify. A round of "Yes." were heard from around the table. NamJoon smiled. "Okay, I will let Bang Pd know our decision. He also mentioned us needing to have our physicals some time before enlisting. He has them scheduled for the beginning of January." NamJoon notified them. They all agreed. NamJoon then stepped away to call Bang Pd so they can plan everything out.
NamJoon left the dining room and the older three at the table seemed to breath a little easier. "How's your shoulder?" TaeHyung asked. HoSeok and SeokJin went from looking at TaeHyung to YoonGi. "Its fine." YoonGi responded back. "Fine like when you lied to us about it and you still have to get shots before every performance or fine like you're not ignoring the pain?" HoSeok questioned. YoonGi was a little taken back at HoSeok's line of questioning. "HoSeok." SeokJin said sternly. YoonGi stared at his hands clenched together on top of the table. "Will you be able to serve active duty?" JiMin suddenly asked. "I..." YoonGi started but wasn't sure what to say. "The doctor will determine that." YoonGi spoke softly, his mind now racing.
YoonGi knew HoSeok was still upset that he had hid how bad his injury was and how he originally got it. He knew SeokJin was also really upset about it since he had witnessed YoonGi having nightmares but YoonGi had always apologized for waking him and repeatedly told him they weren't a big deal. SeokJin had felt he should of known something wasn't right. All of them had been upset about the whole thing and no one knew the extent of the incident. They had only found out something had happened through the lyrics of his songs and he only talked about what had happened once with them. JungKook had to hear about it later since he had already gone to bed. They all were hurt that he didn't tell them before, like he didn't trust them.
As guilty as YoonGi felt about not telling them or talking to them about it, he also had a lot of things to work out and he didn't want to add any extra stress to them. He didn't want them to worry about him when they already had so much going on. YoonGi has always had to take care of himself. His parents always treated him differently from his older brother. YoonGi wasn't planned and with his mother's health concerns while pregnant with him and nearly dying after having him, his dad decided that he didn't even want to raise YoonGi as their own. YoonGi's grandma ended up raising him for the first few years. The others were all disappointed, thinking YoonGi didn't trust them. He trusts them more than anyone, even with his trust issues but he really just didn't want to be a hindrance to them.
YoonGi had gone silent for a while as the others seemed to continue talking about him almost as if he wasn't there, reminding him of his parents' constant fights about him. YoonGi continued to have dark thoughts running through his head as HoSeok reminds them of YoonGi's lies about his injury bringing up how he had originally told JiMin that he fell down the stairs.
When NamJoon walks back into the room, it's total chaos. Everyone is talking over each other except YoonGi who has his head down and his brows furrowed. "What's going on?" NamJoon spoke sternly, catching everyone's attention. YoonGi stands up from the table. "I'm going to bed." He mumbles out as he quickly left the table, heading for his room. The maknae line looking at each other with concern written all over their faces. SeokJin and HoSeok glaring at each other in a silent battle. "Explain what just happened right now." NamJoon spoke with authority in his voice. "Will YoonGi be able to serve active duty?" JiMin asked.
NamJoon exhaled. "We won't know for sure until after our physicals. The doctors have to clear each one of us for active duty." NamJoon explained. "Why were you guys bickering though?" NamJoon asked. JungKook sighed then explained, "Tae asked about YoonGi Hyung's shoulder, Hyung said it was fine, Hobi asked if he was lying like before, and then everyone started talking over each other."
NamJoon stared off in the direction YoonGi had gone. "Why are you making me sound like the bad guy?" HoSeok snapped at JungKook. "I just said what happened." JungKook scoffed. "He was the one that lied and hid his injury and the real cause of it. How do we know he's not lying now?" HoSeok continued. SeokJin exhaled. "The doctors will decide but honestly we all already talked about this and chose to move on. When are you going to let it go?" SeokJin asked. "I'm sorry that I feel like its a big deal but I feel like he didn't trust us and that hurt so it still bothers me." HoSeok exhaled. He looked around the table. "I'll talk to him and work it out." HoSeok mumbled out as he got up and left the table.
