It was the next day and the morning was just as chaotic as the previous day. JungKook's physical therapy had gone well although he was definitely feeling sore from it today and YoonGi has been mostly keeping to himself. He has managed to get himself to hold down more of his food though so he was glad that SeokJin had talked to his doctor and found that sometimes eating fruits or drinking a fresh made fruit smoothie can help with the nausea and light headedness. He had already tried eating saltine crackers and drinking ginger ale and that wasn't working but adding a little more fruit throughout his day seemed to be helping.
YoonGi was currently sipping on a fruit smoothie he had just made as he was sitting next JungKook on the sofa. JungKook was currently watching YoonGi sip on his smoothie, his hand interlaced with YoonGi's free hand, a smile spreading across his lips as he watches YoonGi enjoy his smoothie. SeokJin and TaeHyung were at their vocals lessons and HoSeok and JiMin were at dance practice with their choreographer. "How are you feeling Hyungie?" JungKook asked softly. YoonGi nodded his head as he took another sip. "How's your smoothie?" He asked with small smile. "Its good. I'll probably try different recipes when I make them." YoonGi replied with a shrug.
JungKook let a soft chuckle slip past his lips. YoonGi turned his head so fast he practically gave himself whiplash, a smile spreading across his lips. "God I have missed your laugh." YoonGi breathed out. His voice low and just as beautiful as he remembers it being wince he hasn't heard it much lately. "Not as much as I have missed your smile Gi." JungKook whispered back as he leaned in close, his breath gently blowing across YoonGi's lips just as he gently pressed their lips together. The kiss was gentle, soft, sweet, and far too short for YoonGi's liking. JungKook started to pull back and YoonGi chased JungKook's lips with his own.
Just as YoonGi was about to reconnect their lips again the sound of someone clearing their throat could be heard. YoonGi backed away looking in the direction of sound. "Was I interrupting?" NamJoon spoke teasingly. YoonGi quickly stood up from the sofa, taking his now empty glass with him. NamJoon watched YoonGi leave the room with a raised brow. "Ugh... Hyung~" JungKook groaned out. "Why'd you interrupt?" He now sighed as he leaned his head back on the sofa. "I'm sorry for interrupting Kook. I honestly didn't think he'd leave so fast. I'll talk to him." NamJoon spoke as he now sat next to JungKook, lacing their fingers together, and leaning over and kissing the very prominent pout on JungKook's lips.
"He's so quiet now and were finally starting to talk." JungKook whispered. "He smiled Joonie Hyung. A real smile. It was small but it was there." He breathed out. NamJoon listened carefully nodding as his mind drifted off to YoonGi who was probably back in his room by now. He let out a soft sigh as he thought about how strained the relationship had become between him and the older. As JungKook complained about NamJoon's poor timing NamJoon's mind wandered trying to come up with something he can do to make things better between he and YoonGi.
"I am sorry Kook. I'll make it up to you. Right now I'm going to go check on YoonGi Hyung and see how he is doing. Will you be okay for a while?" NamJoon asked gently as he held JungKook's hand rubbing his thumb along the back of his hand. "I'll be fine. Just don't pick a fight with him, please. He has enough stress without the two of you fighting." JungKook exhaled deeply. He now glared at NamJoon letting him know he is serious and if looks could kill NamJoon would not be sitting there with a smirk on his face. "Okay Babe. I got it. I'm just going to talk to him." He rambled off as he now got up from the sofa. He quickly leaned down pecking JungKook's forehead and heading upstairs to YoonGi's room where he knew he would find the older.
NamJoon knocked on YoonGi's door. He then peaked inside when he didn't get a response. Peering into the dim room he easily found YoonGi sitting on his bed, leaned back against the headboard with his laptop open on his lap. NamJoon watched YoonGi closely, seeing that he had headphones in he now knew why he didn't respond to his knocking.
Taking in a deep breath and exhaling slowing he decided to enter the room. He called YoonGi's name gently trying to get his attention without startling him. "YoonGi-ah.... YoonGi Hyung?" He called out. YoonGi lifted his eyes from the screen, quickly hitting a few keys and closing his laptop. "Did you call me? I'm sorry I didn't hear you..." His voice trailed off as he pulled his headphones out by the cord. NamJoon smiled. He walked over to YoonGi's bed and sat on the edge. "Hey Baby, how are you feeling?" He asked softly as he brushed a few locks of YoonGi's hair behind his ear.
YoonGi couldn't help the slight blush that crept across his cheeks at the sweet name NamJoon called him. There had been so much tension lately that the others hadn't really used any of the sweet nicknames they usually would call him by. NamJoon smiled, his dimples showing, he was pleased by YoonGi's reaction. Its been a long time since any of them have caused YoonGi to feel flustered like this. YoonGi stared at his hands in his lap. His laptop now sitting off to the side along with his phone.
NamJoon reached his hand out towards YoonGi, gently taking hold of one of his hands. He laced their fingers together. "Come on." He gently pulled him up. YoonGi now stood next to his bed, his brows furrowed in confusion. "You trust me?" NamJoon asked softly. YoonGi looked up into NamJoon's eyes. He found his sharp dragon eyes so beautiful. They always pulled him in. He searched his eyes for what, he wasn't sure but he nodded his head. "Yes." He whispered out.
NamJoon gently pulled YoonGi out of his room and into his own. He then led him to the restroom where he started running water in the large tub. "What... What are you doing?" YoonGi questioned, unsure of what was going on. NamJoon waited for the water to heat up. Once it was the right temperature he plugged the drain, added some bubbles, and calming bath salts. He walked back to YoonGi, kissed his temple, leaned down to his ear, and whispered. "I want you to strip and get into the tub. I'll be back in just a couple minutes." NamJoon gently kissed just below YoonGi's ear. A small gasp slipped from YoonGi's lips in surprise. He wasn't sure what to say or think so he just nodded. He waited for NamJoon to leave the bathroom and then he quickly stripped and climbed into the tub.
YoonGi sat in the tub, his knees pulled up to his chest, arms wrapped around his legs, and his chin resting on his knees while he watched the tub slowly fill with water and bubbles. The bathroom now smelling like lavender.
Meanwhile...
NamJoon was quickly grabbing clothes from his closet with one hand and stacking them in his other. He was gathering enough clothes for the both of them. He knew things had been tense between them and there was a lot of strain on their relationship because of that tension so NamJoon thought a lot about it last night and decided to clear his day and spend time with both JungKook and YoonGi. He knew he needed to reconnect with YoonGi so he planned on helping him to relax for the day and try to talk to him without causing a fight.
His plan was to get YoonGi to take a relaxing bath where he would take care of him and remind him that he was here for him. YoonGi has always been harder for anyone to read and he doesn't let people in easily but somehow the six of them had all managed to make their way into YoonGi's heart and the thought of that had a small smile spread across NamJoon's lips. The thought of when he first met YoonGi playing in his mind. He lightly chuckled and then double checked the clothes in his hand and then quickly made his way into the bathroom.
YoonGi hadn't noticed him yet so he quietly set the clothes on the counter and he himself started stripping off his own clothes and he carefully made his way towards the tub. Currently YoonGi had his back towards NamJoon and the tub was about halfway filled. NamJoon knelt down near the tub, he gently ran his hands along YoonGi's shoulders. He could feel YoonGi tense up under his touch. "Its just me Baby." NamJoon breathed out as he gently kissed YoonGi's left shoulder. "Are you okay?" NamJoon whispered into YoonGi's ear. YoonGi only nodded in response.
