3rd Person's POV
Time passed and both Y/N and Rengoku got better. They made the decision that he should retire from the demon slayer corp but he would be able to help the Master with certain things. It wasn't the wanted outcome but it was necessary so the same thing didn't repeat twice
"Tanjiro, let us speak alone"
The burgundy haired boy looked up to his friend with a confused look
"Oh! Sure"
The flame haired man smiled started walking
"Let's go to my estate"
After Rengoku had come back from the fight with Akaza, Senjuro had come to him with a crying face. His father acted nonchalant but after he managed to get Rengoku alone, he broke down. They were glad, glad they hadn't lost a son. Glad they hadn't lost a brother, a comrade. A friend
"Is something the matter?"
Tanjiro looked up at his friend with a worried expression. Rengoku was still recovering and he still wasn't in the best shape
"Yes, I just need to speak with you"
Soon they reached the estate and Senjuro quickly ran up to them
"Big brother!"
He quickly tackled Rengoku into a hug
"Welcome back! Hello Tanjiro"
Senjuro smiled and bowed respectfully
"Hello Senjuro"
Tanjiro smiled and ruffled his hair
"Come on, we're going towards my study alright Senjuro"
He smiled and nodded. Rengoku looked down and pointed down the hall to his study room. When they got there Rengoku and Tanjiro sat down
"Tanjiro"
"Yes?"
"I want you to have this"
He held out his hand and gave his flame sword handle and brought out some books
"I know nothing about that Kagura dance you had mentioned but this is all of the information about flame breathing over the years. I want you to take it as for my handle. Please keep me in your memory and remember I'm always cheering you on"
Tanjiro's eyes widened
"I am going to retire due my injuries but I will still help with whatever it may be. I can only do so much for now"
Tanjiro felt his eyes brim with tears
"Thank you..."
Rengoku smiled, his eye creasing with the increase of his curving lips
"I want you to also protect Y/N"
The boy with the checkered haori tilted his head confused
"Y/N?"
