Tamayo soon took everyone to a separate room to talk. When we got there Nezuko immediately laid on the floor
"Hey! Nezuko, that's bad manners!"
Tamayo smiled
"That's quite alright. Please make yourselves at home"
When we all sat down Tanjiro spoke up
"Sorry...."
"Now then, allow me to continue. I adjusted our bodies so that we can live without feeding on humans. A small amount of blood is all we need"
Sabito spoke up
"Blood?-"
Makomo picked up
"Does that mean-"
I cut her off
"It sounds distasteful but I willingly give them blood and when I'm not around they buy blood."
I looked towards Tamayo
"Indeed, we buy blood under the guise of transfusions from those unable to make ends meet. Of course no more than would impair them."
They hummed in realization
"Yushi over here gets by with less blood"
I smiled and pointed towards Yushiro
"Don't call me that!"
He whisper-yelled at me
"I'm the one who turned him into a demon"
Tamayo spoke up again
"You did?"
Tanjiro went wide eyed
"But...huh?"
"You're right... It's generally held that no one but Kibutsuji can increase the number of demons. That's more or less accurate. In over 200 years, I was only able to transform Yushiro into a demon after all."
Tanjiro clenched his fists
"In 200 years.....You were only able to transform Yushiro after more than 200 years!? Exactly how old are you, Miss Tamayo!?"
In that moment, Yushiro, Sabito and I smacked Tanjiro
"Don't ask a lady her age you ill-mannered lout!!"
"Kamado that is quite rude"
"Tanjiro! Don't ask that!"
Tamayo's eyebrows furrowed
"Yushiro! Y/N! The next time you hit that boy, I won't forgive you!"
Yushiro and I sat as fast as we could
"Yes ma'am!"
