Chapter 22

Anastasia's Pov

Jacob has found his mate.

" When will you visit us Nasia ?" he asks excitedly.

" Jacob I - ,I - ..."

Should I tell him? He so excited about finding his mate , if I tell him about how these people are treating me he will start worrying about me. Dad will starts fights , everyone would just focus on me. Jacob has found his happiness after  so long I shouldn't ruin it.

"What happened Nasia , why aren't you saying anything?"

" I am so  happy for you Jacob finally you found her , I can't contain my happiness." I say suppressing a sob.

" I knew it, that's the reason you are the first one to know about her. Her welcoming ceremony will be in next two weeks and I want you to be here."

" Jacob I will come just tell me the dates." I said sadly. Wasn't I expecting all this from my mate? I thought he would be excited too , he would run into my arms but alas!

" Nasia , are those people treating you right ? They aren't troubling you, are they?" he asked softly

" Jacob don't worry , tell me more about Alexandra."

" I will but when you come here. I'll message you the dates now I need to go my mate is calling me .Byee"

" Byee."

Now what do I do ? I can't go back neither can I stay here . Looks like I am on my own, I will have to find shelter in human territory.

As I was about to leave a dark brown wolf stood in front of me and growled. He went behind a tree and shifted , wore clothes and came back.

Before I could ask or think , Jake was in front of me.

" Wait here Elena is coming." he said  .He was exhausted as if he was running for hours.

" You both can go to hell for all I care.  I am leaving." I started walking away but he blocked my way.

"Don't forget who I am Jake, alpha's daughter and alpha's mate, I am more stronger than you."

He looked taken a back with my statement. " You just spoke like a true Luna."

There was some noise around the bushes and Elena came out in a white gown.

" What the hell are you doing here ?" I asked her angrily.

" Listen now , will you? Those clothes that you saw belong to Lucia. She is Rayan's childhood friend. She  has been gone for 6 months or so, she is currently living with her grandmother, who is in different pack. Rayan is NOT BETRAYING you. I didn't realize her clothes would be there since we haven't talked about her since months. I didn't mean to hurt you."

It took me a while to process everything. Oh my god ! What had I done ?

" I am sorry Elena ! I shouldn't have said all those things." I said crying.

She came close  to me and gave me a hug." Come on let's go back."

We hugged each other for a while and then started to walk back.

 After some time I realized that Jake was walking behind us in his wolf form protectively .

" Why did you come with Jake ?" 

" Because he is my mate." she said as if it was but obvious.

"What ??"
