Chapter 38

Anastasia's Pov

What was Rayan saying ? Why didn't dad tell me about this ? My mate's mother died because my family member? What am I supposed to say ?

"I am so sorry Rayan that you and Elena had go through this but please trust me I don't know about this. I didn't harm the  Alpha, please believe me Rayan."

He didn't say anything. He looked helpless lying on the ground. Despite the things that he had done to me I felt bad, I wanted to console him.

 He  then stood up and started "  Elena is my dad's and  Ashley's daughter  but I am not. When I first found out-"

Rayan's Pov

 I was so excited to find out that finally I had found my mate. Even though it wasn't the person I expected. I didn't mind though , there are so many things on my mind right now - Lucia, my pack , my parents but  a knock interrupted my thought process and dad walked in.

"Dad what's so important at this hour."

" Don't accept her Rayan, she is a threat to our pack. Just don't."

" Who dad? Anastasia ?  I know since she is from our enemy pack, we are not sure about her  yet ,but dad she is my mate. She will love and adopt our pack. With she  coming to our pack all this enmity amongst us will end." 

" No Rayan , that family is not trustworthy. They are all liars and murderers !!"

" Dad please stop it. At least give her a chance ! She will prove herself over time."

" Rayan you don't understand. Her family-"

" You can say what you want but  I love my mate , that's all I want to understand."

" RAYAN HER FAMILY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR MOTHER'S DEATH ! "

There was along pause. 

"Listen Rayan, I am really sorry you found it this way. I didn't plan on it but since your mate and their family member is coming here you need know the truth."

" What the hell are you saying. My mom is alive."

" Ashley is not your mom !! Your mom and my true mate was Rayna. I had meet her when I was 21. She was just perfect , your mom and  I  were living a happy life , we had everything we wanted after a few months we had you. But ambition  to expand our territory destroyed everything."

" Dad what are you saying. This is not true. My mom....my mom." I whispered.

" Dad you told me the cause of this war was Dominic's death which was caused by rouges and Alpha Markus misunderstood us !"

" No son, I lied. One day Dominic came to our pack with a peace treaty . But your mom ended up calling him weak and hurting  his ego .  Dominic couldn't handle this insult and  ended up killing your mother and in return I ended him. That day I lost my mate and you lost your mother. You were just a few months old that's why you didn't understand. Few months past in grief then I found Ashley. I told her everything and she choose  me despite everything. We soon had Elena and new chapter of my life began. I wanted to tell you everything but  I couldn't find the courage. I was a coward Rayan I was a coward."

" How could you hide this from me, dad? I had every right to know about my mother !" I sobbed.

" I know . I am really sorry ! When I saw your mate she reminded me of Rayna so much that I couldn't resist telling you . Even your mom had blonde hair, but they were short and wavy. Even her eyes were blue but they had a tint of green unlike that girl. Your mother was just a bit taller than the girl."

" Dad just stop !! "

" Here's a picture of her ." He handed over the picture to me and I really found them similar.

"If Anastasia  keeps walking around this pack then it will be a constant reminder to us as to whom we have lost. Please son, reject her son and reduce our agony."

"Dad ! What is her fault in all this. Why punish her ?"

" Rayan do you think everything is going to be that easy. Do you think the pack will accept her and even if the pack does I won't. Her family is the reason we are both deprived of our love , love from my mate and you were deprived love from your true mother."

Yes that's true . I was denied my mother's love because of this pack . While she enjoyed her life , I suffered. She...she doesn't deserve love she also needs to suffer just like me.

Alpha Markus killed my mother and I suffered , now I will torture Anastasia and Markus will suffer !!
