The hotel room was quiet and Rain heaved out a sigh. The tour had been going on for six weeks now and she'd barely had a minute to herself between work and attending the live events. A lot of the time she was working from catering or make shift office spaces in arenas which didn't give her much space so she was relieved they had three days booked in the same area so that she could make good use of their hotel room. She'd told Bret she wouldn't be attending any of the live events so that she could catch up on paperwork and meetings. Her team meet was to be a virtual one but she was looking forward to it as it seemed an age since they'd all been together to talk. A smile automatically curved her lips as Frank and Melissa appeared on her screen, along with Kayla and Danny who had asked to join a monthly meeting to get an idea of what was coming up. JR was not joining them as he was on commentary and his work load was heavy during tours.

"Hey guys," Rain said easily. "How is everyone?" They all exchanged pleasantries and then got to business.

"So, Frank and I are working out the skeleton of Lita and Kane's story together," Melissa said. "I can support with the women's side of things to ensure Lita doesn't get sidelined, though I don't think what Frank has written would suggest for a minute that she would."

"Lita and Kane?" said Kayla and Rain hid a smile. She'd had her suspicions for a while that her friend might have a soft spot for the tall wrestler but kept it to herself.

"It's just a work," she said reassuringly. "We want to give both of them a bit of freshness and gradually move away from the Brothers of Destruction. Kane needs a strong story to elevate him to an equal singles level as Taker and Lita is ready for something a bit different too. Now Kane's last romance storyline was well received but this needs to play differently or it's just more of the same. Last time he was cast as a victim. This time he's going to start as a hero but then gradually draw Lita into a darker mindset. We're going for a slow burn heel turn for the both of them."

"So is Taker turning face?" asked Danny. Frank nodded.

"The fans just love him whatever he does. Even when he gave Lita the Last Ride the heat wasn't long term enough; it was kind of a flash in the pan and then he was back to being everyone's favourite Deadman."

"Women can really elevate heels," Melissa commented. "When you think of the work Sherri did or Luna. They were well respected by everyone but boy did they draw heat. That's what we need here for Lita and Kane. The best thing about Lita is that she can hold her own in the ring which leaves Kane to play the silent predator at ringside without actually needing to put his hands on anyone to make him look completely evil."

"But everybody loves Kane," said Kayla. "He's such a sweet guy."

"Outside of the ring yes," said Rain. "But inside he is a psycho from Hell and that's what we need to get back to with him."

They went backwards and forwards over the story between Kane, Taker, Lita and the Hardyz and then moved to the luchadores. Although Rain was leading this she appreciated input from her colleagues.

"So we're only a couple months from Wrestlemania now and the build up for La Muerte and Rey Misterio seems to have been well received. They're both settling into their roles well I think," she said.

"Rey is very over," Melissa agreed. "He has a certain flare that the fans lap up. I wondered if we put him in a few main card matches though Rain? He could hold his own in the ring with just about any of the boys there."

"Yes maybe. I'd like to keep away from David and Goliath matches though. I don't want him to look like an underdog at any point. He needs to look strong and needs to draw the luchadore libre fans in; I think anything else at this point would put them off and just be more of the same old."
