A week later

"Chay, will you stop? It's not like I am dead." Porsche spoke on the phone.
"Phi! Don't say things like that. You weren't at the mansion, you weren't home for a whole week! And somehow it was very convenient to not pick up any calls, or inform me where you've been. No one at the mansion ever talks about you, P'Tankhun ordered no body utters your name. I had to urge Kim to tell me what had went wrong."
"Chay! Calm down. I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry." Porsche's voice faded.
So no one at the mansion mentions him now?
How easy for Kinn to erase him.

"I'm at Yok's." "Yes, I'm working again, you focus on university. And that bastard Kim, don't let him control you, okay? If he ever hurts you I will bury him alive." "Alright. Take care."

Porsche sighed hanging up the call. He had to complete his shift now. Yok persisted he should start working to distract himself. While it sounded like good advice and it did work to some extent it was still very hard.

He had been smoking a lot to keep his thoughts at bay. His friends told him to start saving for the bar he had been thinking of opening. It would give him a change in pace.

He did have money now. His mother, who had been alive had transferred a lot of her wealth to the brothers. Even though she left to stay abroad, which seemed like the right decision, she made sure her boys didn't suffer.

The money seemed enough to start up his business. He had been gaining his senses too, enough to plan his life ahead. It felt like things would start getting back to normal again. Porsche felt grateful to have such good company, a solid support system. He couldn't believe it had just been a week and he had started working again, not whole heartedly but it was good effort. He couldn't think where he would be without his friends, without Yok or Chay.
So what if Kinn isn't here? All these people are still with him. He truly felt grateful.

"P'Yok. I need to talk to you tonight." He let her know as he served her a mocktail.
"Sure." She sipped her drink.

Time passed by. Porsche sat on the bar counter.
"Phi. Let's do it. Let's start that bar by the beach."
"Are you mad? I can barely keep up with the rent here sometimes. You expect too much from me."
"No, Phi, I have the money. See, we'll buy some land with that, take loans for the building and get the bar running. That way we can pay back the sum in instalments. What do you say?"
"Well. It's easier said than done. Acquire the loan first. That's the tough part."
She added, "And have you planned out other things? Stop living in a daze, dear. It takes so much effort."
"Don't worry Phi. I got this. I'll show everyone that I can do it."
"Everyone? Boy, I know you. You just want that one person to see."

That shook Porsche.

Yok really brought him back to earth. Letting Kinn go is so hard.

He was the dream. Now he's the revenge.
