THIRD PERSON POV:

A couple of months later...

Catalina an Fabio where both in shock, the cries of Fabienne where loud. But they couldn't look down at her, their eyes remained on their friend. The friend who wasn't moving, "Time of death... 2:23pm" a nurse said in the distance. Catalina couldn't make a sound, her friend was no longer with her. The one person who she always was with, the person who she had shared many memories with. The person who she only spent 23 years with, someone who was ripped away from a long life.

Fabio felt his newborn being taken from his arms, he didn't look at where she went. His eyes remained on his soulmate, someone who he loved deeply. "Valea..." he whispered, he remained still. Catalina's arms wrapped around him, "How am I going to do this without her?" he asked. "You will manage..." Catalina answered, she didn't want to say anything else. "I'm going to check on Fabienne..." she whispered, Fabio remained silent.

Once Catalina walked over to the nurses and doctors that was in the room, Fabio walked over to Valentina. He grabbed her hand, it was cold and light. "I will always love you... you changed my entire life, I'm glad that you saw our daughter in your final moments." he whispered, a tear left his eye and it landed on her hand. "I promise to always look after her, I won't disappoint you." he  sobbed, he let go of her hand and watched as she was slowly covered.

Fabio, Catalina and Fabienne where leaving the hospital, it had been three days since Valentina died. "You ready for this?" Catalina asked, "No, but I have to push through it for her" Fabio answered. Fabienne was sleeping in her carrier as Fabio placed her in his car, "Thank you for being here." Fabio said as he entered the car. "You know I will always be there for her and you" Catalina responded, the two of them where still grieving their loss of their friend. However, they now needed to look after Fabienne. It is what Valentina would want them to do, she wouldn't want them to give up on Fabienne quickly.

Fabio was sleeping in his bedroom, while Catalina was sitting out on the couch looking after Fabienne. "I can't believe that she's not here anymore..." Catalina cried, "I can't believe it's been an entire week since she died, poor Fabio can't eat or do... well... anything." she whispered. "It's going to be hard, but remember that Fabienne needs you both." Pato said, he was currently in Mexico for his winter break. "I'm mainly worried about Fabio, he is trying to power through it... but he's in pain." Catalina said, "Do you want me to come over to France, you also need help... you also lost your best friend." Pato asked. "Maybe... I will ask Fabio in the morning... Right now I'm going to put Fabienne in bed, then I'm sleeping." Catalina said with a yawn, "Okay, goodnight... I love you." Pato said. "Love you too..." Catalina said, she then hanged up.

Fabio looked up at the small crowd and let out a deep breath, he wasn't ready to say goodbye. But he had too, he looked at Fabienne and started to speak. "Thank you all for coming today, as you all know Valentina died due to complications of giving birth. However, I am not here to talk about that. I'm here to talk to you all about how much of a wonderful and beautiful woman she was, sh-" he stopped, and quickly whipped a tear off from his cheek. "She was an angel, she brightened everyones day with just her smile. She was my soulmate, she was Catalina's best friend, she was a respectful daughter, she was Enea's little sister, but most of all she was a mother. She never gave up on anything, she was the one thing I looked forward to everyday. No matter what had happened to her, she was always smiling. I remember the day she told me that she was pregnant, it was the best day ever. Something that I will not forget, she changed me into who I am today. She played a massive part in everyones life who is currently in this church, she always believed in the afterlife. Right now I hope that she is resting, she fought so hard for many people that she didn't look after herself. I wish that... she's finally getting the rest that she deserves, she will always continue to live in everyones hearts. Valentina Elena Bastianini was the angel in everyones life, during her last moments on this earth she had se-" Fabio stopped again and looked over at his baby. "She had seen Fabienne, her last words was 'she's an angel'." Fabio finished his speech while tears where pouring out from everyones eyes.

After the ceremony, Fabio and Enea where talking. "That was a beautiful speech Fabio... she would off loved it." Enea said, he then placed his hand on Fabio's shoulder. "Thank you..." Fabio whispered, Enea then removed his hand from Fabio's shoulder. "May I hold her?" he asked, Fabio looked down at his baby and smiled. "Of course, just be careful." Fabio responded, he then handed Fabienne over slowly to her uncle. She let out a small blabber noise once she was in Enea's arms, "Ciao Fabienne, non sei solo un Angelo? Hi Fabienne, aren't you just an angel?" Enea cooed at his niece. Fabio watched at the interaction and he smiled, in that moment he knew not to give up on his life.
