CHAPTER 13

It was time for dessert,the maids brought some vanilla cake and fruit salad as their dessert,while eating, Mr.
Park received a phone and excused himself from the table since it was an important call,then Min-young began

"Tell me. Um. What's your name again?..."

Chaeyoung placed her hand on Jisoo's thigh, she knew her mom was up to no good, she wanted Jisoo to know
that she was right beside her and was sorry for whatever her mom was about to say. Jisoo knew Chaeyoung was trying to make her feel calm but it was hard
as her heart was beating faster than normal because Min-young always had something new and hurtful to
throw at her

".. Jisoo. Yes Jisoo.." She continued

"What is it you truly want from my daughter?... Because as far as I know,gold diggers like you don't usually spend too much of their time sticking with one man or women... I need to know what it is exactly you want. I'll give it to you on a platter of gold,no matter the cost,so you can leave
my daughter alone"

Jisoo felt humiliated,her heartbeat stopped at that moment,it was like everything was a blur,she couldn't
hold her tears anymore,she wasn't strong enough,this was too much

"Mom, would you stop this?! I've had enough!" Lisa yelled,standing up from her chair and storming out of the dinning room Chaeyoung angrily stood up from hee chair and took Jisoo's
away from hee mom's presence, she took her outside so she could get some fresh air,she cried into her chest while she soothed her. She couldn't believe her mom could go as low as offering to pay Jisoo off to leave her,does her mom even care about hee feelings?

"I want to go home" Jisoo said in barely a whisper, she was glad that although her thoughts were somewhere else, she was still paying attention to her,if
not, she wouldn't have heard what she said. She wiped her tears.

"Let's go inside" she then said,taking her by the hand and leading her back into the mansion when they got inside,they found Lisa and her mom arguing.

"We are leaving" Chaeyoung said,gaining their attention.

"But baby. You haven't even seen the present I got for you" Min-young protested.

"I don't want anything from you" Chaeyoung said indignantly At that moment, Chaeyoung dad walked into the living room, he looked at them confused.

"Why aren't you all at the dinner table?... What's going
on?" He looked at each one of them skeptically.

"Dad,we're leaving... it seems mom doesn't want us here" Chaeyoung said.

Mr. Park then gave his wife a disappointed look.

"It's okay daughter. I'll come see you in the office" Chaeyoung dad said.

"Okay Dad. I'll be expecting you"
Mr. Park was kind enough to see them off.

The ride home was quiet and awkward, Jisoo sat a little distance away from Chaeyoung and Lisa. Chaeyoung understood that she was hurt but she wanted to be there for her,it was hurting her that she wanted to just
sit all by herself,if only she had listened to her when she pleaded to stay behind,this would've been prevented.

When they arrived home, Jisoo hurriedly climbed out of the limo, she got into the mansion and went straight to the back where the swimming pool was located,she wanted to be alone at this point. Never has she given Chaeyoung's mom any reason to see her as a gold digger so why would she come up with such assumption? She always insulted her with several other hurtful names but this,this was too much,
Min-young was beyond willing to kick her out of Chaeyoung's life no matter what even though she had never wronged her.

Chaeyoung on the other hand wanted to be with her girlfriend,as much she wanted to be alone,she needed
her by her side. She was about joining her by the pool side but was stopped by Lisa who placed a hand on his shoulder.

"She needs some time to herself..you should respect that"

Chaeyoung nodded in understanding, she turned around to look at Jisoo one last time before going upstairs.

An hour had passed and Jisoo wasn't yet in the room, Chaeyoung sat on the bed with her back against the headboard waiting for her, she had changed into a white T-shirt and black sweatpants. She couldn't help but wonder why Jisoo wasn't back in the room, she was
quite worried and at the same time scared, she only hopes that she hasn't done anything dangerous to
herself,no, Jisoo wasn't that kind of person but at this point she couldn't help but worry because she was
really sad when they got back. She knew Lisa had asked her to let her be but this was unbearable, she then decided to go to her. She was about climbing out
of bed when the bedroom door opened, Jisoo quietly walked in,closing the door quietly behind her.

Chaeyoung noticed she had wrapped her hair in a messy bun,her eyes were puffy and red from crying, she
watched her carefully as she walked into the closet and later came out with a pink night shirt in her hand then
walked into the bathroom. After waiting for 15excruciating minutes, Chaeyoung noticed the door to the bathroom open and Jisoo came out,she was now in
her night shirt with her hair now poured down and slightly wet,she walked towards the bed and quietly
crawled into bed towards Chaeyoung, she snuggled herself in her arms and she immediately wrapped her arms
around her protectively as she placed her head on her chest. They stayed like that for an hour,neither of them
wanting to break the silence so as not to refresh their memory of the awful encounter with Min-young.

Chaeyoung adjusted their position so they were now comfortably settled on the bed and tucked them properly with the duvet as they fell asleep in each other's arm.
