Jisoo drove to her mom's house. She quickly got out of the car and ran into the house, rushed to her bedroom and shut the door behind her.
Mrs. Kim was in the garden reading a book when a maid came to her.
"Ma'am, sorry to interrupt your reading. Ms. Kim Jisoo just ran into the house in tears."
Yunjin was confused. What would have happened to make Jisoo come here in tears?
"Thanks for letting me know. You may go now" she said dismissing the maid before she hurried into the house in search of her daughter.
She went straight into Jisoo's bedroom when she didn't find her in the living room. She opened the door and found Jisoo on her bed crying. She carefully shut the door and walked towards her daughter.
"Jisoo honey, what's the matter?" She asked placing her hand on Jisoo's head, gently stroking it.
Jisoo lifted her head up from her pillow and engulfed her mom in a hug. Her mom began soothing her, saying sweet words to her.
"Sweetheart,you know you can talk to me" Yunjin encouraged.
"Mom, we broke up" Jisoo said between sobs.
This surprised Yunjin because she never remembered Jisoo mentioning that she and Chaeyoung were having any problems in their relationship.
"I couldn't take it anymore mom... I thought I was strong enough but l realized I'm not" Jisoo said.
"it's okay honey. Don't say anything else... Everything is going to be okay" she continued soothing Jisoo until she fell asleep,she then tucked her in bed.
Jisoo sent two of their maids the next day to go get her things from Chaeyoung's place because she didn't want to face Chaeyoung. She had been calling her all through the night but she refused picking any of her calls. She felt hurt for ignoring her but she had to.
She still couldn't believe that her relationship with Chaeyoung had come to an end. She felt so incomplete but breaking up was the best thing to do in as much as they were both happy. Her mom made the relationship unhealthy for her.
Chaeyoung came to Yunjin's house to find Jisoo. She wanted them to resolve everything but Jisoo didn't want to see her. She was prevented from going inside by the maids. She didn't want to cause any trouble so she left with the intent of meeting her at her restaurant.
Jisoo didn't go to the restaurant for several days because she was avoiding Chaeyoung at all cost. Nayeon had called to tell her that Chaeyoung had been coming over to the restaurant to look for her, that was the reason why she refused going to work because she didn't want them making a scene in public.
Jennie had been away for a fashion show. She just came back and went straight to the restaurant to pay Jisoo a visit but she was told that Jisoo hasn't shown up for work for days now. She went over to Chaeyoung's place but didn't find any of them home so she decided to give Jisoo a call.
Jisoo told her that she was at her mom's place which surprised Jennie. She hurriedly drove to their house worried that something bad might have happened to Yunjin, but on arrival, she realized that Jisoo mom was okay but Jisoo wasn't. Her friend was looking pale and had lost a lot of pounds, that worried Jennie.
Jisoo burst in tears on seeing her friend. Jennie couldn't understand why Jisoo was like this, she just soothed her friend until she calmed down.
She listened carefully as Jisoo narrated all that happened that led to her breaking up with Chaeyoung.
Jennie felt sad for her friend because she didn't see this sort of news coming. Chaeyoung and jisoo were really happy together, it was like they were made for each other. She had always known that Min-young was a witch who would stop at nothing to break up their wonderful relationship. Jennie stayed with Jisoo for a while before saying goodbye.
Chaeyoung couldn't eat nor could he think straight. She was depressed and nothing could lift her spirit. She tried on several occasions to talk to Jisoo but she was avoiding her at all cost. She knew her mom went too far this time.
What was she saying, she had always gone extreme. She was glad she was now out of her life but still, that didn't make her happy. She would've felt happy about it if Jisoo was still with her.
She has lost few pounds from not eating, making him pale but he couldn't do anything about it. She thought distracting herself with work would help but that did no good because memories of all the times they had lunch together in her office kept distracting her from working.
She became aggressive towards her staffs to their surprise. She didn't like this new person she had become. She detested herself right now because he was slowly losing her mind and couldn't control it. She decided to give her dad a call asking them to meet up at her house because ahe desperately needed to talk to her. Her dad agreed to the meeting.
Chaeyoung told his dad that he couldn't stay there any longer, that he needed a change of environment. She wanted to know if his dad would agree to handling the company here in Korea while she travels to Australia to take care of the one there.
Chaeyoung dad felt really sorry for her daughter. She understood how Chaeyoung was feeling so she agreed to her offer. She has never seen her son this depressed, she wondered if she was ever going to recover from this.
Chaeyoung thanked her dad for his understanding. She packed her things and called for his dad's private jet to be made ready. Chaeyoung said goodbye to her dad the next day before moving to Australia.
