Treat you Better

Chapter 10-

A/N-  John fr bout to get rejected 3 times and not understand what is being said for 2 of the sentences. Man gets put right in his place.

It's been about 6 months since everything happened, my ankle is in much better shape. Since the compound was destroyed, Bucky and I moved into an apartment, probably a month after moving in, Bucky went to the compound and got what he could of our stuff. I just stayed at the apartment, tidying up, watching the cat we adopted, Alpine. I also had Bucky start going to therapy as well. He's been doing well with going to therapy, and I've been doing physical therapy for my ankle. I was laying on the couch, watching the tv with Alpine laying on my chest while Bucky was out at therapy. I was about to fall asleep when the door opened.
"I'm back, doll!" I hear bucky yell out. I sit up on the couch, moving alpine to my lap. Bucky walks over to me and sits next to me, alpine moving to his lap.
"Hi Frumos (handsome)" I say, leaning up and kissing him. He smiles into the kiss. He puts his hand on my thigh and rubs it.
"How's your ankle?" He asks.
"It's fine. You ask this every time you come home." I say.
"I know. I just worry about you sometimes." he says, laying his head on my shoulder. When I was laying on the couch, I wasn't paying attention to the tv and now that I was sitting up, I started to pay attention. Sam gave up the shield and now some guy that was in the military now had the shield.
"Don't you think that guy looks like a younger and taller version of the old guy from up?" I say to bucky.
"Sure doll. Sure." he chuckles. I roll my eyes and pick up alpine from his lap and walk toward our bedroom.
"Alpine and I are going to take a nap." I say before shutting the door.

Probably about an hour later, I woke up with Bucky's arms wrapped around my waist and his head in the crook of my neck. He wasn't actually asleep so I could feel his breath on my neck. Alpine had moved down to her bed on the floor. I turned around and Bucky pulled his head up from my neck.
"Get up, we need to go talk to Sam about something." He says. I sit up and rub my eyes.
"Okay." I mutter. I try to get up from the bed but Bucky pulls me back to him and kisses me softly. I roll my eyes and get up from the bed and walk to the closest. I changed into a black cropped tank top, black cargo pants, a black racer jacket, then I put on black and white converse.

I walked out the closet and Bucky got up off the bed. We left the apartment and went to my car since Bucky only drove a motorcycle. We got in my car and Bucky drove to where he knew Sam would be. Sam was getting ready to leave for a mission. Bucky stopped him to ask.
"Why'd you give up the shield?" Bucky asks.
"They would never accept a black captain America and you know it." Sam replies.
"Now if you excuse me, I have somewhere to be." Sam says, walking away. Bucky follows him, I follow behind Bucky. Bucky continued to argue with Sam as we walked to Sam's plane or whatever.
"Wait a second." I said interrupting them. Bucky and Sam stopped talking and turned their heads toward me.
"Sam, where are you even going?" I asked.
"Munich." Sam answers. I nod and sit down next to Bucky, putting my right leg over his left one. He puts his hand on my knee and he and Sam continue to bicker. After some time, we arrived above a forest near a warehouse. Sam jumps out with his wings, Bucky jumps down behind him. I grab a parachute and jump behind them. We get down to the ground, I see Bucky laying on the ground.
"You good, sweetheart?" I ask him.
"I'm perfectly fine, doll." He says. I roll my eyes and the three of us make our way into the warehouse. We were around a corner, and after some time, the trucks left and we followed them, we then started to fight them, i got thrown off the truck, after sometime bucky and Sam also got thrown off. Bucky and Sam were rolling on the ground then Sam pushed Bucky off him. Bucky got up and walked towards me. He helped me off the ground.
"You all good, doll?" He asked.
"Nothing that I haven't dealt with before." I say, taking his hand as he lifted me up off the ground. He smiled at me and we went wherever Sam was. He walked for a bit until a jeep pulled up in front of us. It stopped, Sam, Bucky and I continued to walk.
"What's a pretty girl like you doing walking out here? We're quite a far ways away from the town." says The guy who I presume is the new Captain America. I internally gag.
"I enjoy walking." I say, blankly. Bucky obviously wants to rip this guy's throat out.
"How about we go on a date?" The guy asks me. Bucky is about to say something but I stop him.
"Definitely not. I dated Captain America once, he cheated on me." I said.
"de ce m-aș gândi să ies cu cineva care arată ca bătrânul de sus? (why would i even think about going out with someone who looks like the oldman from up?)" I said in Romanian. The two guys in the jeep look at me confused.
"I believe she said, 'why would I even think about going out with someone who looks like the oldman from up?'" a guy driving the jeep said.
"К тому же у меня есть парень, которого я ни на что не променяю. (Plus I have a boyfriend who I wouldn't trade for the world.)" I said in Russian, while glancing at Bucky. I saw his lips tilt into a small smile. The two guys in the back of the jeep were confused until the driver said, "I believe she said, 'Plus I have a boyfriend who I wouldn't trade for the world."
Bucky's smile dropped when the new captain America, whose name is john, i believe, said, "I don't see him anywhere, he doesn't have to know."
"Like I said l earlier, why would I even consider dating a guy who looks like the old man from up, when I've got my old man, right here." I say, intertwining my hand with Buckys. Sam looks like he wants to burst out laughing but he keeps a straight face. Bucky brought my hand up to his lips and kissed it. John internally gagged. Bucky wrapped his arm around my shoulder as we continued to walk.
"Y'know just because you hold that shield, doesn't mean you're captain America." Bucky says.
"I did the work." John replied. I used my other hand to rub my hand over my face.
"Ever jumped on top of a grenade?" Bucky said. He stayed silent. We ended up getting in the jeep. I sat between Bucky and Sam. John kept eyeing me up and down. I was getting upset and uncomfortable.
"Would you quit with that? It's uncomfortable." I spat at John.
"Or what?" John says, raising an eyebrow. I swipe my tongue between my teeth.
"Sau voi lua acel scut și îl voi împinge acolo unde soarele nu strălucește. (Or I'll take that shield and shove it where the sun don't shine.)" I state in Romanian while death glaring at him, I whispered what I said in Bucky's ear after I said it.
"Stop eyeing my fucking girlfriend or she'll take that damn shield and shove it where the sun don't shine." Bucky said, death glaring at him. I saw John visually gulp. I look up at Bucky and ask him, "babe, do you want me to call Yori and ask him to check on alpine?"
"Yeah, that'd be great doll," he replied. I pulled my phone out and called Yori.
"Hey Yori, could you check on alpine for Bucky and I?" I asked the man I was talking to on the phone.
"Of course, delia." The old man said. I hung up the phone. After a while we arrived back in town.
