Perched at your bedroom's work desk and unaware of the late evening hour, you were hard at work diligently recording and cataloguing the findings of the day. Strewn about your desk were various scattered notebooks, scholarly journals, and calligraphy supplies all hap-hazardously arranged about the current focus of your scholastic attention, a glass terrarium inhabited by a single large blue colored beetle.
You had plucked the colorful specimen earlier today, and were had spent the entire rest of the day double crossing it's features with that of every currently known genus of beetle. While initially it seemed to bear some commonalities with a breed or two, the characteristic horn shape and distinctive bright sapphire like hue proved utterly unique. Giddy at the discovery of a new species, you eagerly set about spending the rest of the day studying and observing the newly found break through.
Watching the large insect skitter across the makeshift enclosure, your ruby eyes darted back and forth between it and the notepad nestled in your lap where you'd been scrawling notes on the beetle's appearance and movements. Finishing up a detailed description of the bugs shell coloration, you were just about to introduce several potential stimuli to try and monitor its feeding behaviors when a sharp noise caught your attention.
*Knock Knock Knock*
Your focus was torn away from your work as you heard the sharp sound of someone rapping their knuckles against your door. Blinking confusedly, you used a spare leaf of paper to carefully scoop the scurrying beetle back into its jar. Screwing the lid tight, you hastily marked the jar's label for future reference before setting it aside and stepping away from your desk towards the door. While on the move, you untied the band holding your hair back, letting your long raven locks fall comfortably down your back as you reached the doorway.
Turning the knob, you were greeted to the familiar face of your employer's personal maid. The young woman's beautiful green hair framing her pretty if utterly professional face and meticulously kept uniform.
Upon seeing you, the youthful woman's bowed her head respectfully giving you a small curtsy.
Karen: Miss Y/n
Y/n: Oh Karen. Good to see you, did you need something?
Karen: Yes, Miss Eina sent me to fetch you for the evening meal.
Y/n: Evening?
Confused, you looked back behind you at the airship porthole, only to blink in surprise at seeing the orange hued sunset bathing across the clouds outside.
Y/n: My apologies, I didn't realize it was already so late. Could you tell Miss Eina I'll be right down, It'll just be a minute so I can freshen up.
She gave you a small nod, her lips quirking into a small slight smile.
Karen: Of course, but please be quick. Miss Eina wished to stress that she had several urgent matters to discuss everyone.
Y/n: I appreciate the heads up, I'll try not to keep her waiting for too long.
