Chapter 33

We will do whatever we can to win it

Riley's POV

There was only a few hours away from game five.

This meant who ever won tonight, would not only take the lead in the series but also have the advantage at the cup in game six.

I was actually in Tampa for the game with Mia, and a few of the wives.

Abby couldn't make it because of something going on with Maddy, so I was rooming with Mia.

We were currently in our hotel room, bored out of our minds, as we wait for the boys to return, which probably won't be for another hour.

"So how did your date with Johnny-boy go?" Mia smirks

Mia knew we went out, considering she was the one who made me try on several dresses before finding the perfect one

"It was good. He took me out to a nice restaurant, then we went for a little stroll in Millennium park, where we just sat and look up at the stars."

"That's it? No kiss? No Sex in the park?" Mia asks

"You watch too much TV." I chuckle rolling my eyes

I honestly don't mind that we're taking it slow, it's actually kind of nice in away, you get to learn more about each other.

"That I do."

I just roll my eyes again

"Come on guys hang in there!" Mia yells

We are just two minutes away from leading the series.

"Skate!" Mia and I both scream, jumping out of our seats

"Ugh." Mia sighs slumping back into her seat, as the puck bounces out of play

"Hey at least they wasted some time." There was now under a minute left in the game

The face off was in our zone and Jonathan was taking it

"Come on Jon." I whisper

The puck drops and he wins it, passing it back to Keith who clears it to Saad, who skates with it before taking a shot, which is snatched up by Bishop.

There's now less than ten seconds left in the game, and the face off is in the Lightning's zone, which is being taken by Shaw, who wins it and passes it back to Kruger. He then passes it back to Shaw, who tries to make a pass Desjardins but gets tied up in the corner.

"We won!!"Mia exclaims as she pulls me into a hug, as we watch the guys celebrate.

Game six here we come.

FIRST LET ME BEGIN OFF SAYING STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!!!!

I'M STILL IN SHOCK BUT I COULDN'T BE MORE PROUD! THEY WORKED HARD AND YOU CAN TELL IT PAYED OFF, 3 CUPS IN A MATTER OF 6 SEASONS, NOW THAT'S AN ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!

I'm really sorry about this chapter being super short, but I promise you all, I'll make up for it in the next chapter which will hopefully be up by Friday if not before!

Getting to my next point I'm officially done with school for the summer, just had my last exam today, so chapters will be more frequent now.

This book will soon becoming to end soon, I haven't decided yet on how many chapters are left, but will keep you guys posted! However I will be starting a new book this summer,and I will give you more detail on it, in the next couples chapter.

Sorry for rambling, it's a bad habit I have :D
