Riley's POV
So here we are waiting to board our plane to Winnipeg. Still can't believe I let Mia drag me along, but maybe it won't be so bad after all. On another note the Hawks lost to Tampa Bay last night 4-0, I can tell they're all frustrated, especially with Kane being out. Mia told me he's so stressed out about it, which is normal, but with playoffs not to far away I can see why, but hopefully this trip will distressed him.
"So I have to tell you something that you're not going to like." Mia tells me
Great way to start to a conversation.
"What is it?" I ask
Patrick had to use the bathroom or something, so that just left Mia and I
"Please don't be mad." She begs
This can't be good.
"I won't just tell me." I say anxious
"Promise?"
"Promise."
"Well Jonathan will be joining us for the trip."
"He's what?" I yell
I'm going to kill her.
"Morning ladies, nice weather we're having, eh?"
I look over to see none other than Jonathan Toews himself smirking
Man if only I could wipe that smirk right off his face.
"Excuses us we have to use that bathroom." I fake a smile, dragging Mia with me.
"What the hell Mia?" I ask pissed off as we walk into the bathroom
"I'm sorry I-"
"What happen to you guys fighting?" I cut her off
"We were but-"
"What about 'just the three of us' huh?" I mock
"It was but then-"
"But then what huh?"
"Would you just let me explain?" She sighs
"Fine." I huff
"We were fighting ok, but then yesterday he came over and we had a long talked. He apologized for everything, and I could tell he was truly sorry." Mia tells me
"Fine, but that still doesn't explain to why he's here."
"I was getting there, look after talking last night he told me how much he missed our parents and David and I thought since we were going to Manitoba he could come along."
"You thought what?"
"It's just he hasn't seen them since Thanksgiving.... and.... just please don't be mad."
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't pissed.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I sigh
"Would you have came if I told you before?"
"No." I mumble
"Please just get through the this weekend and I promise to make it up to you when we get back."
"Fine."
"Good now let's go before we miss our flight."Mia smiles
We walk back to find Patrick and Jonathan waiting for us.
"It's about time, thought we were going to have to call a search party to come and find you guys." Patrick jokes
"Haha very funny." Mia laughs as Patrick wraps his arm around her
