-Amily's POV-

I'm sick of being stuck in this stupid hospital but apparently I overdosed. I've been in rehab for 2 weeks now and the withdrawals are horrible, but the doctors say I am making good progress.

Finnick calls every day to check in on me. He seems genuinely worried. I know I must have scared him when he woke up next to my unresponsive body, but I'm glad he was there. If I was alone in my bed instead of at Anchor's house I would probably have died.

I've called Mags a few times to update her on my progress. She can't speak back through the phone but Warren will translate whatever she signs so I can understand her. Apparently he's been living with her for the last 2 weeks.

I told her I was sorry and I wasn't trying to die I was just being stupid. She has forgiven me but she says if she ever finds me with morphling again she will have Anchor kill me. I laugh at this and assure her there will be no need for that.

Two weeks later, Finnick arrives to take me back to 4. I'm better I guess. Better in the sense of I'm not addicted to morphling anymore but not better in the sense of my ptsd. The arena has been bothering me a lot recently.

President Snow let me know that Finnick and I will be mentoring for this year's games. Mags tried to interject and take my place but Snow said she wasn't in any state to mentor. I don't entirely disagree with him.

Finnick engulfs me in a hug the second I'm allowed to leave the hospital. We don't let go for what feels like an hour but eventually we need to start heading to the train station.

The train ride back to 4 is quiet. You lay on Finnick's lap while he plays with your hair. Neither of you know what to say. He's already told you to stop apologizing but your memory hasn't been the best. Apparently, your overdose gave you some minor brain damage. The doctor says you're very lucky it wasn't worse. You get horrible brain fog most days but the doctor sent you home with meds that he hopes will help.

You fell asleep at some point as you feel Finnick wake you up when the train arrives.
"Ams we're home," he whispers.
You smile up at him and sit up, letting out a yawn. The doors open and you see Anchor waiting on the platform.

"Welcome home," he says as he gives you a big hug. "We're going to Mags' house for dinner. Annie will be there too." You had almost forgotten about Annie. The two of you had grown apart due to your trips to the capital and the fact that she spends almost all her time at Trent's place.

*Is Trent coming?* you sign, not in a mood to use your voice.
"No uh I think they're on a break," Anchor states. Things must have happened while you were gone.

Mags was thrilled to see you. Warren commented that this was the happiest he had seen her in years. Mimi had made the most delicious food and the victors had a wonderful dinner.

Afterwards, Finnick walked you and Annie home.
"Do you want me to stay with you?" he asked.
*No I'll be ok with Annie. Thanks though,* you sign. He gives you a hug and leaves.

"So what happened with Trent?" you ask Annie as you both climb into your beds. Annie immediately bursts into tears and you hurry over to hug her.

After a few minutes, Annie is finally calm enough to talk.

"I'm pregnant," she cries and I look at her shocked. I'm not upset, I'm just surprised.

"Oh Annie," I sigh as I grab her hand.

"He doesn't want me to keep it," she sighs. "But I can't do it. He wants me to abort it but I can't."

"Annie," I say. "It is completely up to you whether or not you keep it. It's your body and your choice. I will be here to support you the whole way." Annie smiles at me. "And for the record," I state, "you will be a wonderful mother."

She lets out a small laugh and says, "I don't know what I'm supposed to tell our parents. I'm 19, Ams. They're gonna kill me."

"They won't kill you," I sigh. "I'll come with you when you decide to tell them."
Annie seems to relax a bit at this.

"I don't think I'm going to tell them till I start showing," she states. "I'm only 2 months in."

"Have you told anyone else?" I ask.
"Just Anchor," she sighs. "He found me crying on the porch after my argument with Trent."

"I'll go talk some sense into Trent tomorrow," I yawn.

"Goodnight Annie"
"Goodnight Ams"

AN: Short chapter so I might publish another one tonight. Anyways, I've officially finished writing this entire series. I'm going to continue posting 2ish chapters a day so I have time to edit books 3 and 4 but the writing is done and will be published. I will not leave y'all with an incomplete work.

I also already have a basic idea of my next fic that will also be a Finnick x OC one but it's got a much different but still mostly cannon storyline. I'm going to wait until I finish with this series to start on that one and so it won't be published till all 4 books of Peaceful Forever are on here.
