Aunt Lacey parked the car outside just in time for Charles to see Sheena drive off with some weird dude in the car.
A few hours earlier, Aunt Lacey had been told to take Charles and Alyssa somewhere to pass the time since they hadn't gone to school. This is was Elise said, but Charles knew it was because Sheena had snuck out of the house after she was already in trouble. It wasn't the first time, and Charles knew it sure as hell wouldn't be the last.
Charles sighed as he stepped out of the car, watching his eldest sister and some weirdo zooming down the street. He just shook his head and walked inside, hearing Aunt Lacey already opening the door and Alyssa's footsteps behind him.
The three walked inside carefully, afraid of what they were to find. They walked into the kitchen only to find Elise not in there, but just an empty bottle on the table.
Then they decided to check the living room. They walked into the cramped living room, which held a semi-nice tv that Elise had gotten as a gift from Aunt Lacey when she had money, multiple beat-up couches for everyone to sit on, a wooden coffee table that was also from Aunt Lacey, many pictures on the walls, and a clock that was off by roughly two hours and no one knew how to fix it. There they found a slightly drunk Elise, a TV-mesmerized Ella, and a very, very drunk Mark.
