Chapter Seven

Paxton's POV

It was lunchtime I was walking the halls looking for Trent he dipped as soon as the bell rang signaling class was over. I went to my locker to drop my books off , I headed to the cafeteria where I knew Trent would in fact be, but most importantly I need find to Kaylie to finish our conversation from earlier in her car.

Hey gorgeous, are in the cafeteria yet?

I sent her a text waiting for her to respond , I got in line to get some food, it was square pizza day.

*ding*

Kaylie- hey ml yeah I'm here now , are you in line?

Yeah , look up

I waved so she could see me , once she did she came and joined me in line , grabbing her food and drink. We headed over to where all my friends were and joined in on whatever conversation they were having about how the swim team doesn't get enough credit.

But wait , how don't they? Paxton is the captain after all. Kaylie had asked.

Because it's all about the football and soccer team , nothing ever is said about the swim team and how many championships they've won . Marcus then replied and you know he has a point , nothing is ever said about that, we're all good ass swimmers though.

So Kaylie about our conversation earlier , I really like you , you're smart , hot , and so independent. That's what I look for in a girl , not looks or popularity , but the personality, and you ma'am have it all, great smile , beautiful eyes, and not to mention you're a great kisser. I told Kaylie because it's true , she brings out the best in me , and she doesn't even know it.

I like you too Paxton , the only thing that's been scaring me is everyone telling me to stay away from you and all these rumors. She said back to me looking at me with worry.

Before we knew it school was over and we all headed home, Kaylie is supposed to meet me at my house , too study, maybe a little kissing here and there , but mainly to study.

She took her car and I took my jeep, when I got home my mom was making dinner for everyone , I had texted her during school letting her know that Kaylie will be joining us , so she could prepare for the five of us instead of four, like it usually is during dinner time.

So Pax , will I be meeting this girl that you're bringing over? Asked my sister Rebecca.

Yeah yeah , you'll be meeting her , she's joining us for dinner. I said back to my sister smiling . I really hope my family likes her as much as I do. I'm willing to show Kaylie how much I like her.

Once dinner was done my mom let me take some rose pedals, candles , and two plates to the garage where my room is.

*ding*

Kaylie- hey ml I'm here

I quickly got to the front door to let Kaylie in and damn she looked good, she had white ripped jeans on and a purple DB hoodie on with her hair pulled up into a messy bun. She had her book bag with her , it looked heavy.

Here let me take that for you I said to Kaylie as I'm grabbing her bag off of her shoulders , walking towards the garage.

She smiled when we walked in my room , I'm pretty sure I saw a tear fall down her face .

Paxton what is all of this ? Kaylie looked at me with tears falling down her face. Nobody has ever done any of this for me , so why are you?

Because I like you , and I want you to get to know the real me , not the me that everyone says that I am. I have feelings and a future too. So with that being said , and with it being okay, I'd really like it if you'd be apart of that.

Kaylie just nodded her head , not being able to speak due to that she's crying because she's always had shitty relationships , one's who have abused her both emotionally and physically. I want to proof to her that nothing will be like that with me , it'll be communication, trust , and most importantly loyalty. I've never met a girl like her all the girls I know just want me because I'm hot and popular.
