Y/n's POV

My heart raced as I made my way to Kim's house, just two houses away, when my phone buzzed with an incoming call from her.

"Hey, I'm-" I began, but Kim's voice interrupted me.

"Kanye is here," she said, her tone urgent and filled with surprise.

I hit the brakes so abruptly that I nearly collided with the windshield. Thank goodness for the seatbelt that kept me in place. "What?" I exclaimed, my mind struggling to process the unexpected information.

"He just came back like an hour ago," Kim explained hurriedly. "He's here to see the kids. I tried to find time to call and warn you, but the kids demanded both our attention, and-"

"That's fine, Kim," I interjected, trying to sound composed. "I'll just turn back and see you tomorrow."

"He's staying over for the week," Kim informed me, her voice filled with a mix of resignation and understanding.

"Oh," I replied, surprised by the turn of events. It made sense, though. They did have three kids together.

Kim's tone held a hint of curiosity as she asked, "Oh?"

"We'll figure something out," I assured her, attempting to sound calm despite the disappointment. "But I gotta go. I'm literally parked in front of your neighbor's house, and it's kind of suspicious."

"Just give me a minute, and I'll come to you," Kim insisted, her determination evident. "I need to get-"

"Kim, it's fine, really," I interrupted, my voice filled with conviction. "I'll talk to you later. We don't need you getting caught with me before this divorce happens. It'll just complicate things."

"Are you sure?" she questioned, concern lacing her words.

"Yeah, I'm 100% sure," I affirmed, my mind made up. "We'll talk soon."

"Okay, babe," Kim responded, her voice tinged with a hint of sadness.

"Bye," I bid her farewell, feeling a mixture of disappointment and relief.

Well, that was a complete letdown. As I prepared to leave, a text message from Travis flashed on my screen. He wanted to meet up. I supposed that's where I was heading next. This situation sucked.

....

Travis greeted me with a casual "Wassup, man," as we found ourselves at Kylie's house. He was spending time with his daughter, Stormi, and they were outside near the half court they had.

"What's good, man? Hi Kylie" I replied, acknowledging Kylie as well.

"Hi brother-in-law," she responded playfully, laughing at me. It seemed she still remembered the day when Kendall and she caught Kim and me sharing a moment.

"So I heard from a little bird," Travis began.

"You mean Kylie," I interrupted, causing them both to burst into laughter. Shaking my head, I moved to sit on a nearby sunbed.

Travis continued, "So how's it going between you two?" referring to Kim and me.

"It's okay, I guess," I replied, a tinge of disappointment evident in my voice. "We were supposed to meet up today, actually, but apparently, Kanye is back from his hiatus."

"Seriously?" Kylie interjected, clearly surprised by the news.

"Yeah, I found out just seconds before I could reach Kim's house," I explained. "I was literally about to turn back and go home when Travis hit me up."

"That's cold, man," Travis commented, sympathizing with my situation.

"Are you okay?" Kylie asked, her concern evident.
