Y/n's POV

My day had been exhausting, filled with back-to-back interviews and promotional content. All I wanted was to pick up my kids and head home. Currently, I found myself in a meeting with my dad, discussing a few things. It was inevitable that I would be signed to Roc Nations; after all, it's a family business.

"Y/n, this is Matthew Craig," my father introduced, gesturing towards the man sitting across from me. "He's going to be your manager. You two are on a test drive. If you can work well together, then we'll continue this partnership. If not, Y/n gets a new manager."

"So it's like probation?" I clarified.

"Precisely," Dad confirmed.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Matt," I greeted him.

"You too, Y/nn," Matt responded.

Matthew appeared to be around my age, maybe even slightly younger. After the brief introduction, my dad informed us that he would check on us in a week. As we left the office, I felt a wave of relief wash over me. The day was finally over, and I was eager to go home.

"So, I'll keep in contact with you and update you if I find anything to further boost your new song. But we'll discuss more..." Matt started, but I interrupted him.

"Bro, chill. Why are you so formal about it? We're practically the same age, so there's no need to be so uptight," I said, trying to lighten the mood.

"Sorry, the last artist I managed was kind of an asshole," Matt admitted.

"Oh, well, don't worry. I'm alright, man. If we're going to get along, we have to be friends, right?" I suggested.

"Yeah, absolutely," he agreed.

"Good. You've got my number. You know how it is, just give me a call," I said.

"Sure thing, man," Matt replied.

I dapped Matt up before making my way out of the building. I drove over to Ryan's place and found her in the apartment building lounge downstairs with the twins. She was all dressed up, a sight I wasn't accustomed to seeing since the twins were born.

"Where are you off to?" I asked teasingly.

"I'm going on a date," she replied proudly. Ryan looked good, exuding confidence. I was genuinely happy to see her taking some time for herself and being active.

"Okay, you go, girl!" I hyped her up, impressed by her appearance. She gave me a little twirl, showing off her dress.

"If you need anything, don't think twice about calling," Ryan assured me.

"Don't worry about it, I got this," I reassured her. She kissed the twins goodbye and promised to see them next Monday.

"Okay, bye Y/nn," she said as she started walking off.

"Bye, Ry," I called after her, unable to resist one last comment.

"Also, Ryan! Don't forget to make sure he wraps it up!" I teased. Ryan's face turned crimson as she started speed walking away, avoiding the teasing smirks and chuckles from everyone in the lounge.

"Alright, let's get going," I said, redirecting my attention to my two twins who were happily babbling in their own world. It was their first time going out of the building since they were born.

I'll probably take them out more later this weekend, but today, I was exhausted and needed to get some real sleep.

I made my way to the car with them secure in their car seats, ready to drive us all home. Tomorrow would be another day full of adventures with my little ones, but for now, a good night's rest was calling my name.
