Wednesday was nervous, spending too much time with their foot tapping. They looked at the calendar, dread filling their stomach as the days became closer to the festival. It was mandatory and Wednesday didn't want to go, they couldn't go. Not with the amount of people in such a small area. Besides, they had work to do, they couldn't be distracted by food.

They sat on their bed, looking at their board of plans and turning it so they could work on it. Their phone vibrated, catching their attention and their annoyance. They picked it up and turned it on, looking at the message and breaking out into a grin when they read it.

5:30 PM
Masky has sent video
Read.

They jumped up, a relieved laugh escaping them. They blinked away tears, continuing to smile as they raised their arms and kicked their feet, laughing as they spun with their phone pulled close to their chest. Masky has sent them video coverage of a prison break, and it was the prison Amber was located in. They slipped, their spins causing their foot to trip and they tumbled to the ground, uncaring as they laughed and cried in relief.

"She's free! She's back! She's free!" Their voice was on edge, cracking as they rubbed at their face and sighed, resting their head against the wooden floor. They would be one step closer to their goal of killing the monster.

"Hey Wedns... Are you... Ok?"

Wednesday looked up, unable to keep their grin in check. Their skin stretched and hurt, aching in the same manner it did when their body transformed.

"Yes, yes, I'm fine! I'm doing horrid! Perfectly horrible, thank you." Wednesday grabbed their phone and went to the bathroom, using the mirror to clean up. They looked down at their new sink, a plastic thing built into the counter and the wall. They laughed a little, blinking away the rest of their tears. They grinned, cleaning themselves up before the students had to be downstairs for the shuttles to head to Jericho.

They waited nervously, their bag resting on their back as they adjusted their hoodie. It was black with black and white striped arms, a red dress shirt underneath for the evening weather. They didn't mind the cold at all, but if they were going to lose control, they'd rather wear a shirt that wasn't going to catch anyone's attention.

Enid had already gone downstairs with her friends, Yoko, Divina, Ajax. They sighed and left the dorm, going downstairs and climbing into one of the shuttles, they had their noise cancelling headphones on, calmed by the pleasant sound of screams. Wednesday sat down in a seat, annoyed that they had to sit beside another student. They growled, the sound vibrating their very chest as they balled their hands into fists and bounced their leg, black painted nails digging into their jeans.

"You good Addams?" They glanced to their right, sea blue eyes and shaved hair, the scent of fish and sea salt.

"Simply desiring this night to be over." They replied, leaning into the shuttle chair as the vehicle began to move.

The shuttles left them at the fairgrounds, booths set up in the middle of the field between the forests surrounding the little town.

Wednesday listened to the sounds of the fair and paused their music, blinking at the harsh lights as they walked through the fair. They loitered around stalls and wiped at their nose, trying to get the lingering smell of people out of their mind. They sighed, licking their lips and swallowing, doing their best to keep themselves from salivating in public. They stalked through the fair, looking for any chance to escape into the forest they could get. Then, the reason found them, knocking into their body and apologizing before running off. Rowan Laslow, he was a small thing, stringy and only powerful in terms of his telekinesis. Wednesday smirked, glancing behind them if the coast the clear before they followed the boy, who only seemed to be a few inches taller than them. They sighed in relief, shaking out the kinks of their body as they walked into the forest and let themselves return to their true form.
