Weeks went by with wedding preparations and no word whether her family would be able to attend. Aemma got closer to Alicent and Helaena, which made her a bit relaxed by getting to know the Targaryen women. She didn't understand through about Aemond. Yes they would be seeing each other, but he didn't really open up to her. He was taught to shut out his emotions. He was the second son, no one cared about what he had to say.

As Aemma was reading in the library, Aemond approached her. She was focused on the book that she didn't realize he was there. Her eyes followed the words as her nose scrunched up as she read. Aemond smiled a bit watching her, then decided it was enough. He touched her shoulder and she looked up. "Aemond.." she greeted him. He took her hand in his. "Come. I must show you something." Raising an eyebrow, she stood and followed him outside. They rode a carriage to a dragon, not just any dragon, Vhagar herself. Aemma tensed a little as they walked toward her.

Aemond stopped and noticed her uneasiness. "She won't hurt you." He said, moving the hair out of her eyes, "but I won't make you go to her if you aren't ready." Aemma looked at him, "She's important to you, correct?" Aemond nodded. "Then I should go to her.." Aemma continued to walk to her. Vhagar looked at the stranger, growling that someone would come near her. Aemma bit her lip was about to back away until Aemond come to her side. "Let me." He whispered then went to Vhagar. "Māzigon aōla vhagar.  Issa naejot sagon ñuha ābrazȳrys. (Come yourself Vhagar. She is to be my wife.)" He spoke to the dragon in a hushed tone and touched her skin, to calm her down. Vhagar whined then laid her head down. Aemond motioned for her to come to the dragon. Aemma walked to the dragon and Aemond. She was in awe of dragon, and touched her lightly. She looked at Aemond and smiled a bit. "She's beautiful...how did you get her?"

"After the death of Leana Velaryon, I went to the funeral. That night, I went to see her and I claimed her." Aemond explained and moved closer to her. Aemma looked her scales then at Aemond. "She's the biggest in the world, isn't she?" Aemond smirked at her question and nodded, "Yes. Bigger than any dragon alive today." Aemma's mind was so curious by the dragon. Her small hands were about to move until Aemond's hand was placed onto of hers, guiding her hands on the scales. Her eyes never left the dragon as she was guided by her Targaryen betrothed. "Wow.." She smiled a bit. "Gevie." Aemond said in High Valyrian. "What does that mean?" She asked him. His hand moved her face to his, "It means beautiful." Aemond's eye met hers, "Aemma I-"

"My Prince." A Knight of the King's guard interrupted him. "Your presence is requested back at the Red Keep." Aemond frowned and nodded. "We will return." What Aemma noticed that his hand intertwined into hers as they walked to their carriage and got back to the red keep. Aemma was about to pull away until Aemond dragged her along. She thought since she was not apart of the family yet that it was improper to go and see what is going on. Aemond, on the other hand, did not want her to leave his side. He wanted to get to know her better. They went to the room where his mother, Otto, and his brother were waiting for him.

"Lady Aemma there's no need-" Otto was cut off by his grandson.

"Actually Grandsire, I will keep her close to me. I want to get to know her before our wedding day." Aemond's hand squeezed hers and she was just in awe of the prince. They all sat down.

Alicent spoke up, "We have to push the wedding up." Aemma's eyes widen and her hand tensed in his. "The blacks are going to try to make a move soon and Aemond you must be married so that you can produce an heir." Aemma closed her eyes for opened them. This was really happening, she was really going to marry Aemond. There wasn't any turning back.
