7. Provisional Hero License Exam

Okay guys, I'm going to do a major time skip to the Provisional Hero License Exam because I don't want to write all of those battles & stuff. Just imagine it happened and that Y/N scored a tie on 1st place with Bakugo in the sports festival.

 - time skip - 

As we were boarding the bus for the exam I decided to sit next to Shoto to calm my nerves. He's such a strong candidate, I'm sure he's going to do well. Me on the other hand, sure I place well but that doesn't mean I'll be able to pass the exam.

"Stop overthinking." Shoto says almost as if he's able to read my thoughts. I sigh. He grabs my chin and forces me to look at him, "You're going to be fine." He says firmly. I melt into his hold and hum. I start playing with his fingers to calm myself down.

Once we arrive and get off the bus, the first person I see is...Camie. Ugh, please not her. 

"Y/N?!" AW SHIT, HERE WE GO.

"Camie!!!" I squeal.

"Oh my god, it's been like forever! I didn't think I'd see you again because well, I didn't think you'd actually make it to UA..." She confesses. What a bitch.

 "OMG. You need to see Inasa! He's so much more handsome now!" Camie gushes. It's obviously fake and she's just trying to embarrass me.

SHOTO POV:

I hear the name Inasa. Where have I heard that before...oh right! That was...Y/N'S CRUSH?! I immediately turn around and tap Y/N's shoulder. "Oh Shoto! This is Camie, the girl from my old school!" She exclaims.

"But I thought you said you didn't l-" I was interrupted as Y/N violently smacked her hand onto my face to muffle what I was about to say next.

"OMG YOU'RE SHOTO? THE SHOTO? Y/N'S SHOTO?! SHE WOULDN'T SHUT UP ABOUT YOU" Camie shouts.

I blush. So she was thinking about me then huh.

"CAMIE!" Y/N yells. Why are they being so loud and high-pitched.

"Wait! INASA GET YOUR ASS HERE!" Camie shouts. I look to see a odd looking guy who has a bloody forehead.

"Oh! Y/N It's so nice to meet you! You've changed so much since we...you know?" He says with a toothy grin. Hmph, there's no way Y/N could still like him...right?

"Inasa! Yeahh...it's been a while." She replies. I don't know what overcame me put I put my hand on Y/N's shoulder and said in a stone cold voice, "We have to go now, Y/N." Was it jealously? No, it couldn't be. I don't even like Y/N...in that way...right?

"Hold your horses SHOTO! Ha! That's a cute name. Why don't you let Y/N catch up with Inasa and we can talk! Afterall, I'm sure she's gonna want a little alone time!!" Camie cheers, winking at the last part. I hated the way she said my name.

Y/N looks tomato red and Inasa still has a stupid smile on his face. I sigh and walk away but Camie keeps following me. "What do you want?" I ask her simply.

"Your number, and then maybe a date?" She asks, trying to be...cute? I'm not falling for that. Besides, why would I want to go on a date with someone I don't know?

"No." I reply. "Yikes, that's a bit harsh bun bun. Why...are you and Y/N a thing? I didn't think she could pull someone wayyyy out of her league. She's not even that great. You could just leave her and be with me instead! Just like how she left you." Camie persisted.

"Y/N is an amazing person. Someone like you probably doesn't understand what kindness is and so you take advantage of people like Y/N. I said no, and my answer will forever be no. I don't want Y/N's name in your mouth ever again." I say bluntly.
