9. Rei

"Good afternoon young Todoroki!" Toshinori exclaims.

"Good afternoon. I'm here to pick up Y/N." Shoto says monotonously.

"Well yes! But before that I need to remind you to be respectful towards her or else there will be an army of pro heroes chasing after you until you-"

"OKAY OKAY THAT'S ENOUGH!!!" You shout as you muffle Toshinori.

"Sorry about that...Let's go!" You cheered as you quickly shut the door behind you.

Shoto starts walking and you follow him.

"You look gorgeous angel." 

"Thanks Sho, I really like your hat! It suits you."

He blushes a bit. "Uhm do you mind if we stop by the flower shop on the way there? I wanted to get Rindou...they're my mom's favorite flowers." Shoto asks.

"Of course! I think it's really sweet of you to do that."

You and Shoto reach the flower shop and the moment you step inside you are met with all the sweet fragrances of the flowers. You look around and admire all of the vibrant colors.

"Hi! What can I help you with?" The lady asks sweetly.

"I'd like a bouquet of Rindou please and..."

"Y/N?" Shoto asks snapping me out of my trance.

"What's your favorite flower?"

"I love pink lilies!"

"and a bouquet of pink lilies that we'll pick up in another hour or so."

"How lovely, they're all great choices! I must say that you two are such a lovely couple! Are you celebrating something special?" The lady chatted.

Both our faces became bright red. "Oh uhm, we're not dating." I say shyly.

"Well not right now you aren't! I can spot a connection when I see one!" The lady gushed.

Our faces got even redder if that was even possible. Shoto paid for the flowers despite you insisting to pay for your bouquet and that he'd didn't even need to get you any in the first place.

You both arrive at the hospital and a nurse guides you both to Rei's room.

You squeeze Shoto's hand and ask him, "Are you okay?"

"Yes. Let's enter."

He opens the door and holds it open for you so that you can enter first before closing it.

"Hi Mom."

"Shoto! You brought flowers, that's so thoughtful of you! And Y/N it's such a great surprise to see you! I almost didn't recognize you for a second..." Rei smiled.

"It's so nice to see you Mrs. Rei!"

"Oh please, just call me Rei! Shoto has told me so much about you!"

I turn to look at Shoto who's face now matches the color of his scar.

"I-I suppose I do talk about you sometimes..."

"Sometimes!? Shoto not a single visit has gone by where you haven't spent a good-"

"Mom!" Shoto fretted as you snickered.

"I'm starting to think that this is back firing on you and I'm loving it!" You cheer.

"I'm so happy you two found each other again. You both look so content when you're with each other. I've never seen Shoto so cheerful. I'm really very grateful for you Y/N and I'm even happier that you can put Shoto in his place when he's being a brat...not that he is." She exclaims, winking at the end.
