Chapter 10: He Is My Baby Daddy

"Yes it is what you think it is. It's baby time" Mr. Ryans pointed to the string of babies sitting on top of his desk.

The days of suspention are over and we were back to school.

"Each pair will receive one or two of this beautiful babies and will take care of it for a month. When the baby is hungry, in need of affection or just went to the bathroom it will cry. You must take care of the baby and satisfy it's need. If you do not attend your baby and it stopped crying just know that I will receive an alert from my computer and I will discount points. You will give this baby a name, dress it and carry her or him as your own. Each person in the pair may take turns into who has it. You 3 have to spend time together outside of school and will take pictures of the activities you'll do together. At the end of the month each pair will give me a portfolio of the photos you took during this whole project. Those will be the last two parts of the Life project. Any questions?" Mr. Ryans explained and a few people raised their hands.

"Will we get to choose the baby?" A random girl I didn't know existed asked.

"No, that's up to me" Mr. Ryans smirked before pointing to another girl that had her hand raised.

"How many objects will we have?" She said and turned red at the attention.

Mr. Ryans arched his eyebrow, he stayed silent for a minute and then answered. "Oh, you mean with the baby?" The girl nodded and he continued. "Well you will have the baby of course. A car seat, a stroller, 2 pampers, a milk bottle. The milk is fake by the way and many objects of clothing"

"Why do we have to take care of the baby for a month? All of the other school only have them for a week or so" Luke asked and that earned a glare from our teacher.

"Because I want to and I'm the teacher" Was his explanation before turning back to his desk. "Everybody make a line with your pair to receive your baby. As always you will also have to fill out a paper filled with questions regarding the baby" He announced and inmediatley people started running to the line, leaving Seth and I in last place.

"Munchkin" Seth whispered in my ear. I turned to look at him and gave him an annoyed look.

"What do you want Finny?" I whispered back. He didn't say anything about the nickname since he was probably used to me calling him that just as I was of him calling me Munchkin.

"Are you still mat at me?" He said with a slight frown and I rolled my eyes.

"I'm not mad, I'm annoyed" I replied with a shrug.

"Oh come on Munchkin. You can't possibly be 'Annoyed'" He emphasised on annoyed before continuing. "Just because I said that Doctor who is boring".

"The more you say it the longer I'll be annoyed" He rolled his eyes at that.

"It's my opinion" "Yeah well your opinion sucks" I didn't realize we were in front of Mr. Ryans until he cleared his throat.

"Congratulations, you have a baby girl!" He exclaimed handing me the car seat with the baby in it. She was bald and had a pink beanie covering half of her head, a pink shirt that had a big pink bear head in the middle, her white pamper and pink sandals covering her feet. Geez we get it, it's a girl.

She had a gap in her mouth which I'm guessing is where the bottle will enter. I grasped the car seat in one hand and the paper sheet in another. Mr. Ryans gave Seth a small pink backpack and the baby stroller.

We sat down on our seats and placed the baby in the desk along with the backpack. "Let's answer this questions already" Seth said impatiently, taking the paper from my hand and starting to fill our names.

"What date is it?" He asked with brows furrowed. "It's October 28" I answered and he nodded writing down the answer in his sloppy writing.

Seth and I had very different hamdwritings, his was more of a lazy way and somehow managed to lean to the left side while mine was more organized.

"The first one is easy. What is the gender?" He read out loud before writing 'female'.

"Now for the name" He said to me and my face brighten.

"I always wanted to name my daughter Gabriella can we do it? Pretty please" I pouted clinging onto his arm, in hope of agreement.

He chuckled and for the first time in all this time I knew him, he smiled. And darn it, it was the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. It wasn't a half smile which I was grateful for, it was a smile that made emphasis to his perfect white teeth and displayed his two dimples on either cheek.

I got snapped back to reality when he spoke up. "Sure, we'll name our daughter Gabriella. But we still need a middle name" He said looking down at where I was still holding his buff arm.

"Sorry" I said as a blush filled my cheeks. I cleared my throat and looked up. "You pick the middle name" He nodded and was quiet for a while. Sometimes he muttered Gabriella with another name before shaking his head and going back to thinking.

"I got it!" He smiled again before continuing. "Our baby girl is called Gabriella Rose Collins".

"I like it" I said and in that moment we stood still just smiling at each other. If anyone was watching us they would think we've gone crazy.

I cleared my throat again and looked down at Gabriella. "We'll call her Gaby for short".

He agreed and then started filling out the easy questions like if we had cars to travel with the baby and stuff like that.

"How are we going to split the days with Gabriella?" I asked him while I placed my head in my hands.

"I guess we could exchange her every 2 1/2 days" He explained.

"What do you mean?" I furrowed my eyebrows and he smirked.

And the smirk was back.

"I mean that today counts as a day and you will give her to me on the 30th".

"You should've just said 2 nights and I would've understood" I rolled my eyes and he let out chuckle.

"Same shit" He said and took the bag. "Now, let's change her clothes. No daughter of mine is wearing that ugly ass clothes" He started searching through the bag and let out a groan.

"What's wrong?" I peaked in the backpack and he pushed it to me.

"It's all pink" He was right, it wasn't even hot pink, it was all light pink. I browsed through it until I pulled out a pink and white stripped shirt.

I quickly took Gabriella's shirt and beanie off and placed the other shirt on. I had to take her out of the car seat to do this and when I was about to put her in the stroller she started crying.

Immediately everyone turned to look at us. I pulled the bottle out of the side pocket of the backpack and placed it on her lips. She stopped crying and started making drinking noises like she was a real person.

"You take her for the first days" Seth said looking at Gabriella in horror. I would love to see how Seth handles a baby.

I placed Gaby on my left side while I held the bottle with my right hand. "You look beautiful like that" Seth said and I blushed.

My mom and dad were the only who has called beautiful since I remember. So it was a surprise when he called me that. I think I froze for a second but quickly recovered.

"Thanks, Finny" I whispered shyly and he threw me a smirk.

"Anytime, Munchkin".
