Chapter 2

Elena POV

"What are you doing here?"

He asks furiously. I thought he would already know that I was coming.

"I'm your new assistant."

God he's a jackass.

"What happened to my other assistant?"

He asks towards the receptionist. Wow. He doesn't know anything.

"Sir, she quit last week."

"Oh."

He looks back at me, with a hint of disgust on his face. Why can't I go somewhere and be liked?

"Follow me."

I follow him into a big office. I stop right in the doorway, to take it all in. It's amazing. Then the door comes and hits me out of nowhere. I stumble back. I step back into the office and he's smiling at me.

"Do you ever think about acting like a gentlemen? Jackass."

"You know, calling your boss a jackass could get you fired." He smirks at me.

"Whatever. Do I need to do something for you?"

"Follow me to your office."

I walk into a nice office. Nothing to fancy. It'll be perfect for me.

"You'll be sent a list of all my meetings this week, you'll need to be at each one taking notes. The first one Is in one hour, get ready."

Then he leaves abruptly.

I haven't even gotten the chance to take a good look at my boss. But I need to get ready. I set all of my stuff down and look for my notebook. This is not turning out to be a good day that I hoped for.

Is there something wrong with me? Why don't people like me?

I put some of my stuff on my desk and just sit and relax. I don't even know anything about my boss. I decide to look him up on my laptop and I'm not surprised by what I see.

Stories about all of his girlfriend's, his gambling problem, how he became so successful. The list goes on, it seems that he's a playerboy.

My phone starts ringing.

"Hello. Who's speaking?"

"Get over here."

It's him. I get up from my desk and head towards his office. I stint realize that it's already been an hour.

"Yes, sir?"

"The meeting is about to start."

He doesn't look happy.

We walk into the conference room and there's already a man sitting in there.

Who the hell is that?

"Hello, Henry."

"Hello, son."

Great, I have to meet another one of his family.
