I threw my bag into my car while sliding into the seat sighing then closing the door. I waited a moment to start the car then did and looked back to see if anyone was behind me. I drove home parking my car in front of a front car and locked in running up to our three story house and to the front door. "Mom, I'm home," I said loudly so she could hear me then to only see her covering her mouth telling me my brothers were sleeping. I nodded and headed to my room quietly going up the stairs. I threw my bag in front of my bed and softly fell onto my bed, but before I could relax my mother came in saying,"sweetheart there's someone here to see you," I groaned as she said so getting up nodding fixing my hair throwing off my beanie.
I assumed it was one of my friends, probably Nora, she always pops up without notice or a single call or text. I walked down the stairs in my hedgehog slippers holding the side rail. My eyes widened as I saw Luke sitting in my living room talking with my mother over tea! I stood at the last step with my eye twitching. "Oh hey honey,oh you're doing the eye twitching thing again," she said smiling. I stopped and hopped down from the last step and walked over to Luke and whispered," what are you doing here?" My mother had stepped out to let us talk and I jumped onto him with questions,"how do you know where I live?!"
"Ok chill there," he said putting his hands on my shoulders then saying,"I may or may not have got it from your friend..." I screamed Nora in my head because I didn't want to wake my brothers. " I came here for you, I wanted you to know I never would use you like that, I said I had a girlfriend because I just needed Mackenzie to back off." I backed up a little nodding."But I also realized that I had began to feel stuff for you...." He hung his head down then looking up at me to see my reaction.
