I turned my head towards the door. Both men had tall and slim figures. One of them wore glasses and had facial hair. He also wore a flannel, black shirt, and jeans. The other one doesn't wear glasses and has an all-black outfit. "Hello Alex, Abaddon." Abby said. "This is Carl, Sasha, Sara, and Crystal." We all waved. The man who wore glasses waved back. "I'm Alex." He said with a smile. "Nice to meet you all." He continued. "Nice to meet you too Alex." I said with a smile. The other man must be Abaddon then. He gave us a cold look. "Mutants." He said in disgust. One word was enough to send chills down my spine. He gave me a weird feeling. I looked at Uncle Carl "We should go." Uncle Carl nodded in agreement and tried to leave, and we all followed behind him. Abaddon stood in front of us and placed his hand on uncle Carl's chest to stop him. "You're human. What kind of relationship do you have with these mutants?" "Don't speak of them that way." Uncle Carl said in a stern voice. "That's my niece and my daughter you are talking about. Now if you'll excuse me..." Abaddon shoved Uncle Carl back with his hand. "Stay away from those freaks old man!" Abaddon said. Uncle Carl tried to get a hold of us so we could leave safely. "I'm warning you old man!" Abaddon said before he punched Uncle Carl in his face repeatedly. I watched in horror as Uncle Carl made a failed attempt to fight back. His face began to bleed. Crystal, Sasha, and I didn't want to fight Abaddon in fear that his horrible discrimination against mutants would be worse. We felt like weak, vulnerable targets. I began to scream and cry "Leave him alone! Please! He didn't do anything!" We all panicked, and Abaddon continued to ignore us. Eventually I saw a flame from across the room. I looked over and Sasha's hands were facing upwards, uncovered. Abaddon groaned in pain. Alex yelled "Oh my goodness! What have you done! Abaddon are you all right?" "Abaddon!" Abby said bent down towards him. Before I could respond Alex yelled "Get out!" Crystal and I put Carl's arms over our shoulders and ran with Sasha as she put her gloves back on. When we got to the car, I heard Abaddon say "I'm alright." Then I heard dialing. "911 what's your emergency?" I looked at everyone and said "We have to hurry! He's calling the police!" We looked at Uncle Carl as he was still badly hurt. Sasha said "I'll drive." We all nodded and got in the car. I sat in the passenger seat to tell Sasha if I ever hear anything suspicious along the way. Crystal and Carl sat in the back seat. Sasha started the car and we started to go to Uncle Carl's house. "Here... You'll need this." Uncle Carl said as he gave us a GPS to get to his house. I grabbed it and put it on the dashboard of the car in a stable position. About 5 minutes after the drive started I heard helicopters above us. "What are they doing here?" Crystal asked looking out of the window. I looked at Crystal. "They're after us." I said. Crystal nodded and opened the car door to get out. I yelled out to her until I heard her get something out of the trunk of the car. I was amazed that she did this while the car was moving but also worried for her. "Surrender!" A police officer yelled from a helicopter. I looked out and my eyes widened. The helicopter began to shoot bullets onto the car. I was lucky enough to dodge them. I looked out of the car again to see Crystal with two guns shooting at them. I got out and sat on the hood of the car with Crystal to help her fight. As we fought, more helicopters came out and soon enough we were outnumbered. My rushes of water and Crystal's bullets seemed to be no match. We dodged the bullet for a while until a few bullets hit Crystal's leg. I panicked at first until I realized that Crystal didn't flinch, and the bullets could not make a mark. It must be because of her healing ability. I saw one of the helicopters move towards where Uncle Carl was from the back seat. Crystal's eyes widened. To me, it felt like things were getting out of control. I began to scream frantically, which was worse than earlier today. "Sara don't!" Crystal yelled. It was too late. My emotions were too intense, causing me to freeze time again. I took advantage of this moment by thinking of a way out of this. I leaned back on the hood of the car to think until my back felt cold. I sat up quickly and looked back. The part of the car that I leaned on turned into ice. I wonder what this was. Maybe I can freeze things too. I didn't realize this until now. I tried aiming my hands towards the helicopters for practice. After a while, I froze many of the helicopters. This new ability relieved me. I began to calm down, then eventually, everything went back to normal again. I still have to work on controlling my emotions. After everything went back to normal, Crystal noticed me freezing the helicopters. "Whoa." Crystal said looking at me. I smiled "I know right! I just learned it!" "They will be gone in no time!" Crystal smiled as she continued to shoot down the helicopters. Our celebration shortly ended as I got shot in my right arm and left leg. I grabbed my arm in pain. I can't use my powers without my arm. I removed my hand from my arm and looked at it. It was filled with blood. I looked up and saw a man jump out of the helicopter. "I will execute these mutants!" The man said as he gripped my neck. I choked as the man tightened his grip. I was desperate for a way out of this. Then I realized that if I can shoot out frost from my hands then I can probably freeze everything I touch if I control it correctly. I grabbed the man's arm and concentrated. "Let go of me!" The man yelled. " No!" I said while continuously gasping for air. My hand felt really cold. His body began to turn frozen solid from head to toe. I then realized that freezing the man made things worse. His hand was stuck around my neck. I panicked and gasped for air once again. The car swerved and I fell off of the hood of the car. The frozen man fell too and broke into many pieces, releasing his frozen grip from my neck. Crystal shot down the last few helicopters I coughed repeatedly. I looked up and saw that we were home. "Home at last!" I said as I began to feel dizzy. "Sara are you all right?" Sasha asked."Sara!" Crystal yelled. My head hit the ground and everything went black. I soon lost consciousness.
