Tw: mentions of blood

♱♱♱♱♱

I always loved long walks outside, when the sky is dark and the streets are empty. My neighborhood was always peaceful at night. I burry my hands in the pockets of my hoodie, shielding them from the cold air. I go to my favourite park and take a seat on a bench, staring up at the sky, dark clouds drifting slowly through the sky.

And that's when I feel it.

The feeling of being watched.

I chalk it up to me just being paranoid and dismiss the uneasy feeling. But it doesn't go away.

Standing from my spot, I decide it's time to head back home. I begin walking, still feeling like something is following me. I pick up my pace just slightly, trying to get back to my house as quick as possible.

Then, something grabs me.

Something grabs hold of my shoulder and pulls me into an alleyway, only lit up by a single street lamp.

I begin to panic as I'm roughly pressed against a cold brick wall. I can barely make out the figure standing in front of me. It's too dark for me to see anything. They leans closer to me, and I squeeze my eyes shut in fear.

I feel them back up slightly and their grip on my shoulders loosen, and I open my eyes slightly.

The person holding me against the alley wall is pale, too pale. It's almost inhumane. They have longish, greasy black hair, and bright red eyes.

Red eyes?

Maybe I'm just seeing things, I'm not thinking right. I'm exhausted and scared and I just want to go home.

"Please, let me go.." I mumbled, hoping they'd let me leave. But they don't respond, continuing to stare at me directly in my eyes. I tense up even more, if that's even possible.

And then, they lean in close to me. I feel their warm breath on my neck and I try to push them away, to no avail. Their teeth brush over my skin softly and I try to yell for help, only to have them hold their unnervingly cold hand over my mouth.

I feel a sharp pain in my neck, like a needle. I try to scream, but I can't. I begin hyperventilating, trying to get them off of me.

And then they pull back, still holding their hand over my face. Tears are forming in my eyes and I try to hold them back. They're staring at me again.

"Shhh..." they shush me, removing their hand. "Don't make any sound." Their voice is firm. Tears spill from my eyes and I try to push them off me again.

"Please," I whisper, trying to convince them to let me go. "just let me go. I promise I won't tell anyone."

And then everything goes dark.

I wake up the next morning with a horrible headache. I roll over to lay on my other side and pull the blanket over me shoulders. I squeeze my eyes shut more in a fruitless attempt to sooth my pounding head even just a little. And thats when I remember the events of last night.

I sit up quickly, squeezing my head between my hands right after. I realize I'm not in my room. I don't even recognize the area. Was I kidnapped? I had to have been. There's no other explanation.

Something shifts beside me, and I look over to see the person last night. That creep who pulled me into an alley and... bit me? I reach up to touch my neck and feel two small bumps where the person had bitten me.

"You're awake." They speak up suddenly, sitting up slowly and stretching slightly. It was a lot easier to see them now in the light. Well, the very little light that was shining into the room through the curtains.

Their eyes looked greenish now, instead of the red colour I saw last night. I knew I had to have been seeing things.

"What the hell am I doing here?" I ask, rightfully pissed off. "You fucking kidnapped me!" I yell, squinting my eyes from the pain in my head.

"Well.. yes. Just, let me explain." Their voice is calm, almost soothing in a way. I stand from where I was sitting in the bed and stare at them.

"Explain what?! That you're a creep who kidnaps people who are alone at night?" I yell. They stand up too trying to get me to calm down.

"I'm a vampire." They state with a serious expression and I almost laugh. They can't be serious. Is this a joke to them?

"I'm leaving." I go to open the slightly ajar door, only for them to step in front of it immediately, blocking me from exiting.

"I can't let you leave." Their voice is low, almost like they're trying not to be heard by anyone else that may be here.

"You're crazy!" I shout. "Let me go!"

I try to push past them, but they don't budge. They grab hold of my arms in an attempt to hold me in place. I try to escape from their grip, but nothing works. And I finally start panicking. Reality has finally set in and I begin to hyperventilate, still trying my hardest to get away from them.

"Calm down." They say.

How could I possibly be calm?

"Let me go!" I scream again, warm tears rolling down my face as I flail and thrash at the person standing in front of me, to no avail.

"I can't do that." Their voice is louder now, with almost a hint of aggression. "You can never leave."

I freeze for a moment.

"You're fucking crazy!" I yell, as they continue to hold me in place.

Eventually, I give up trying to escape their grasp and just cry. I begin to feel dizzy and my legs feel week. They take me back to the bed, setting me on it carefully. I only continue to cry. I'm completely helpless.

Then everything turns black.
