It was a few days later, Xinon got up early again to do his training. He had an idea for his continued growth because he was slowly starting to hit his wall of grinding.
Xinon: "I'm getting to the point where the only way to get stronger is to continuously seal my stats, train, rinse, and repeat while grinding some skills. So, let me see how much dragon blood I have left. In case I can mix things up a bit that is."
Xinon stopped at the forge to see how his dragon blood supply was doing, he had been reading supernatural books in his spare time and found some information. In a book about sacred gears, it's stated that each of the Longinus Gears gives their user a small gift.
After looking even deeper into the subject he found that the gift of the Boosted Gear was a small amount of dragon's blood, though small and weak at first, it is nurtured by training and boosts the user's power exponentially as time goes on. It would also explain why Issei is still so weak, the guy doesn't do almost any training.
Xinon: "So if I inject dragon's blood into myself and become a small part dragon, the same effect should happen to me. On top of that I should also be able to retain my humanity for the most part thanks to Gamer's Body."
Unfortunately for Xinon, he has only a few drops of dragon blood. On the other hand, he now had a dragon as his familiar that he could take a bit of dragon blood out of for these same purposes, he could also use this method as keeping tabs on his familiar's health.
So Xinon summoned Malki, and with 'Reinforcement' applied to his eyes he stuck the needle into the small gap between Malki's scales.
Xinon: "Understand that when he says small he means like I had to forge a smaller needle since the one I was using was too big."
Malki: "*Smoll Roars of pride intensify*"
Xinon pets the little dragon, he had always wanted a pet but he knew that he couldn't take care of one, but now with the help of the System, he finally can.
Xinon: "Now then, Malki, I'm going to be a dragon like you!"
Xinon injected the dragon's blood directly into his veins, and though he didn't feel anything at first soon enough his skin started burning, his eyes felt like they were going to burst, and he could feel his organs churning under the pressure. He would later learn that the reason he went into so much pain despite it only being a small amount of dragon blood was because of how much he trained his body.
The dragon's blood had to adapt itself to his already formidable body so that it wasn't wiped out and as such forcefully accelerated the process to do so. His magic reserves spiked, his skin, had become slightly scaly, unnoticeable to the human eye since with his already dark complexion it looked like nothing happened, and he felt his muscles slightly bulge, the dragon's blood was stupidly effective at its job, and had now changed him into a partial dragon.
Xinon summoned a mirror from his inventory to look at himself, his teeth were slightly sharper, and when he focused on his eyes they became blue with slits in them.
