Ch 6 : The Sinister Brew

After indulging in a satisfying feast, Y/n makes her way towards Halmuni's room, unable to refuse her kind offer to treat her wounds. She knocks on Halmuni's door and, upon receiving an invitation to enter, approaches her with a warm smile. Halmuni gestures for Y/n to sit on the nearby couch, and Y/n complies, nodding gratefully. Halmuni takes a mysterious, seemingly magical medicine and applies it to Y/n's forehead, causing a cool and soothing sensation. Y/n chuckles in response to the pleasant feeling, noticing Halmuni's smiling face. Surprised by Halmuni's rare display of happiness, Y/n embraces her, exclaiming, "Halma, you should smile more often. You look absolutely beautiful!" Halmuni playfully swats Y/n's shoulder while smiling and says, "You know, you can stay here for as long as you like." Y/n is taken aback by the offer and asks in disbelief, "Really?" Halmuni nods, and Y/n expresses her gratitude once again with a heartfelt hug. Halmuni playfully admonishes her, saying, "Hey, I need to breathe!" Y/n chuckles, and as Halmuni's expression turns serious, she asks, "Y/n, do you have the blue bead charm?" Y/n is surprised by the question but assumes that Halmuni must already know everything, so she retrieves the blue bead charm and shows it to her. Halmuni breathes a sigh of relief upon seeing the charm and says,     "Y/n, it's crucial that you keep this blue bead charm safe from any threats." Intrigued, Y/n asks, "What's its significance, Halma?" Halmuni replies, "It's time I shed some light on its importance and why it must be safeguarded." Y/n's eyes widen with anticipation as she leans in, her heart open to Halmuni's wisdom. Halmuni takes a deep breath before continuing, her voice carrying an air of ancient knowledge. "The blue bead charm you possess, Y/n-ah, is no ordinary trinket. It is a sacred artifact passed down through generations, imbued with protective magic and the power to ward off darkness."    Y/n's grip tightens around the bead, her curiosity growing with each word. Halmuni's words seem to resonate deep within her soul. "This charm," Halmuni continues, "is a symbol of your connection to the spiritual realm, a beacon of light that draws the attention of those who seek to exploit its power. The villain we face is particularly drawn to it, as he aims to harness its energy for his own nefarious purposes."    Y/n's eyes widen further as the weight of the situation sinks in. She realizes the gravity of the threat looming over her and the importance of protecting the charm.
Halmuni's voice softens as she reaches out, placing a hand on Y/n's cheek. "Y/n, my dear, I entrust you with the task of safeguarding this charm. Keep it close to your heart, for it not only represents your bond with Rang but also holds the key to thwarting the villain's plans."    Y/n nods solemnly, her determination ignited by Halmuni's words. She understands the responsibility bestowed upon her and the role the blue bead charm plays in the unfolding events. Halmuni emphasizes, "Remember, Y/n, you must keep it safe to protect yourself and those you love. As long as you possess the blue bead charm, you hold the power to safeguard yourself and your loved ones. Do not underestimate its significance, and never let it fall into the wrong hands." Y/n nods and assures Halmuni that she will keep it safe.
Suddenly, another question arises in Y/n's mind, and she asks Halmuni, "Do you know Jin Oppa by any chance?" To her surprise, Jin appears in front of her, shocking her. Halmuni replies, "Yes, he has been my messenger ever since you came to this world. The medicine I applied to your forehead was also provided by Jin, and it will heal your wound soon." Y/n looks at Jin, taken aback, as he says, "See, I know what to do. I'm the best Jin-ie (genie) you can find." Halmuni smiles and instructs Jin to guide Y/n properly for the upcoming scenarios. Y/n nods and bids goodnight to Halmuni before leaving her room.
In the corridor, Y/n encounters Yu-ri and Shinjoo. Yu-ri addresses Y/n, saying, "Y/n ssi, you must be tired. Your bed is ready, and you can take a hot bath if you'd like." Y/n nods happily and rushes to her room. Jin remarks, "Hmm, Y/n, I see you're excited to go back to sleep," and chuckles. Y/n replies with joy, "Jin Oppa, nothing is more important than sleep. Plus, I have important work to attend to tomorrow." Jin nods and says, "Oh yes, the bar party. Want me to help you with your fashion style for it?" Y/n nods happily, saying, "I would be really grateful if you could help me with that." Jin winks and disappears, leaving Y/n to enter her room.
Inside her room, Y/n quickly undresses and covers herself with a towel ,After taking a relaxing bath, Y/n steps out of the bathroom, feeling half-asleep. However, her drowsiness quickly dissipates when she sees someone sitting on her bed-it's none other than Rang. Startled, she lets out a shocked scream. Rang turns towards her direction and notices Y/n, covered with a towel, looking flustered. He quickly averts his gaze frazzled to give her privacy as she tries to cover herself away from his gaze and locks the bathroom door immediately, intending to change into more comfortable sleepwear.
