While Marinette was doing her sting operation to defeat the Evilustrator, over in Arcadia, Jim had cycled to the dentist to see if Toby was available to talk. But he was surprised to find that Toby was still being worked on.
"Tobes," Jim exclaimed as he walked into the operating area, relieved to see his best friend despite the unpleasant situation the rounded boy was in.
"Ey, Him (Hey, Jim)," Toby greeted from the dentist's chair, his mouth held open by a mouth pry. Jim was very happy to see the boy, but after an incoherent conversation with Toby, translated by the dentist, Jim learned that his best friend was not going to be available for a long while.
"How much longer is this going to take?" Jim asked incredulously. His question was quickly answered when the dentist pulled out a freaky looking tool from his lab coat pocket and turned it on, causing Toby to groan as the dentist brought the tool closer to his mouth.
'Yeah, this could take a while,' Jim thought to himself.

Soon enough, it was nighttime. After Jim realized that Toby would take a long time at the dentist yet again, he went to school and was delighted with the news Marinette gave him at lunch.
But now, he was at his house with Toby, while the rounded boy moved his mouth around to get more feeling in it after what it went through earlier.
"Eight hours! I can't believe it takes eight hours." Jim griped as he paced the kitchen floor, Toby standing in front of the fridge while he fidgeted with his jaw.
"Two molars, plus insertions, and some cleanup," Toby listened as Jim stopped his pacing and stood in front of Toby.
"Okay, Tobes. You are never going to believe this," Jim exclaimed as he went to get to his bag at the other end of the room.
"My mouth still feels sore," Toby groaned as he watched Jim before he turned to the fridge and opened the freezer, pulling out a box of frozen pizza.
"Check this out," Jim emphasized as he pulled the amulet out and turned to face Toby, holding the relic in front of him.
"Do you have any aspirin?" Toby whined as he held the frozen pizza box to his cheek as a stand-in ice pack.
"Tobes, pay attention," Jim chided as Toby caught a whiff of the contents inside the box, before Jim looked at the amulet in his hands.
"For the Glory of Merlin, Daylight is mine to-" Jim began, only to be interrupted by Toby microwaving the pizza from the box.
"Go on," Toby encouraged as he got the slice of cooked pizza from the microwave.
"It worked last night," Jim groaned.
"Are you punking me right now?" Toby asked as he struggled to close the microwave door.
"Okay, wait, wait, wait, wait," Jim said before he closed his eyes, and focused. In response, the amulet began to glow.
"Holy champignon!" Toby yelped as armor formed around Jim.
"Now how cool is this?" Jim exclaimed excitedly as he looked down at his armored body.
"Oh, my gosh! Oh, my gosh! Oh, my gosh! Oh, my gosh! So cool, so cool, so cool!" The rounded boy gushed.
"Dude, you know what this means, right? You have a sacred responsibility here," Toby rambled as he began pacing in front of Jim.
"That's what they said!" Jim exclaimed in relief.
