————————————————————————Simply giving you space. Space. Total bull.
"Earth to Hanako. Earth to Hanako."
Plates clattered as she flinch back to reality. "Uh?"
"You've been staring at that bowl of rice for 5 minutes straight." Shinsou murmured continuing with his dinner.
"What's on your mind kiddo? Stressful first day?"
Eyes back to her plate she played through the day, humming she tried to pick at what to tell.
"It went okay."
"Just okay?"
"My English period was fun." sipping playfully on her juice she saw how he perked at the mention of the class. Maybe diverting the subject would suffice. "I'm sure your teacher is a dashing man." Hizashi grinned imagining how he looks while teaching.
"He is." Aizawa said from the kitchen table where he spread out a bunch of lesson plans and other documents."AllMight dropped in during class today." Finally taking a bite of her food she hummed.
"Oh that's nice. Guessing you weren't as thrilled though?" Mic pointed his chopsticks. She just pursed her lips finally shoveling some food, "Nah I see him too much for that. He told me to Get some more friends. Whatever that means."
"I'm sure he's just teasing~ You have friends afterall. I mean you and that other girl have been friends for a while, no?" She hummed in agreement now more focused on her food. Back from his planning the man placed his now lacking coffee mug in the sink."They went to her house after school." Shinso finnaly spoke earning a scornful kick from under the table, making him choke on his drink.
Though her pout dissapeared as fast a she could hide her peaked brows. Aizawa took a sharp turn at this brow raised and arms loosely folded over his sleeping cat shirt. She couldn't hide from his gaze. "Well um yeah we went to her house to wait out the rain. Nothing major." One glance thrown to her adoptive brother she continued her meal hoping they wouldn't press further.
"Did you meet her parents, siblings?" Hizashi asked excited to hear about her friends.
She'd never been one to make friends or even companions easily. Since she'd entered the household almost 2 years ago, they've never heard of any other friends, outings or any social plans of the sort from her. They've only -and that is scarcely- heard of this Amara character from her middleschool. They'd guessed she was just shy or socially challenged like Shinsou and thus only had one friend. But Aizawa grew the slightest suspicion after finnaly meeting her today. Something was... wrong there. He felt it in his gut but wouldn't atleast verbally admit it until he was sure. Mic on the other hand didn't have much time to observe but chopped her up to being a nice girl- quiet but nice. As she was one of the few that Hanako could talk to among the 20 or so others."Amara's an only child. And no, she lives alone. Mentioned something about her parents working most of the time so she takes care of herself." Plate in sink she thanked for the meal. Turning down the hall Aizawa's voice carried throughout.
"We're training tomorrow." She barely responded before retreating to her room turning the door nob. Not staying for her little parental interview any longer.Stay out of there. What could Amara be hiding outside that door? Maybe she was redoing the walls and was airing out from the paint chemicals? Or maybe it was her parents room. She threw up all the reasons hoping one would truely stick. Amara had never acted so hostile since they've known eachother. It may not have been long but it's been enough. Then there was the elephant in the room. Or in this case, the skeleton in the doorway.
Only Amara would come up with a name like that. F-Fluffy...he l-left me. But she had cried over him leaving her like it wasn't just some random corpse she brought up. Hell she'd panicked when Amara had started crying on the ground.
Whose Fluffy? The question was almost comical thinking back. Fluffy. Well it's certainly an ironic one to give to a pile of walking rot.
But that door just wouldn't seem to leave her. An odor was faint against the air, seeping from the keyhole. Not quite placing it she tossed herself hoping that her second day of the Hero Course would be more exciting. And she slept.
