Chapter 1: Happy and Hollow Homes

Izuku Midoriya sprang awake at the sound of his alarm going off, he was surprised at the fact that he even fell asleep. Last night he realised today would be his first day at UA, he really thought that he would be too excited to fall asleep. As he got ready his mother called from downstairs, "Izu, the food is ready!" He smiled and ran down the stairs, "Here!"  She smiled and laughed at the broad smile on her son's face. She knew he had been waiting his entire life for this day, she knew that he was brimming with joy. "Is there anyone you're excited to see today?" She asked and through mouthfuls of food he asked, "Whadya mean mom?" She stopped and smiled back at him, her eyes tracked to his backpack. A certain pin caught Izuku's eyes, the pin looked like a small explosion. Izuku couldn't help but smile when he thought of Bakugo, "Yeah, I guess I'm excited to see Kacchan." His mother smiled and hummed as she walked away to the kitchen. Izuku finished up and set off for the road to UA, "Bye mom!" He called and waited for her reply, "Bye Izu! Be safe!" "I will mom, love you!" And with that, he shut the door and started the walk.

"FUCK!" Shouted Bakugo as his alarm startled him awake, he grumbled and his mother's voice came down the hall. "Oi! Brat get up! You're going to be late!" He grumbled and shouted back a reply, "I KNOW YOU STUPID HAG!" He then packed his bag and got dressed, when he was leaving his room, something grabbed his attention. On his desk, under a thin layer of dust, lay a green bunny pin. He had bought the stupid thing the same day Izuku bought another one, they were supposed to be matching, but he refused to use it. When he entered the kitchen, his mother grabbed his shirt collar, "Gosh, how did I raise you huh?! You look like you just woke up!" He grumbled and scowled at her, "I did just wake up."He scrambled out of her grasp and they exchanged a few curses, until Bakugo's phone pinged, the familiar ringtone sent shivers down his spine. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out his phone, through the cracks on the screen he read Midoriya's name and his stomach sank. His mother stopped nagging him and sent him a sympathetic look, "Katsuki, why don't you speak to Izuku anymore? You two were so close." He frowned and let out a displeased grumble as he shoved the phone back in his pocket. "Shut up hag, stop nagging me." And with that he stomped out the door and into the street, when he felt he was out of his mother's view, he pulled out his phone again. He read the text;

Izuku Midoriya 

Hey Kacchan! Good luck with today! I know you'll do super, I hope we're in the same class! Btw, you were super cool at the entrance exams!

He frowned and shoved the phone in his pocket once more, he stomped on further. Starting his journey to UA.

"GOOD MORNING MY DEAREST FAMILY!" Called Mic's voice down the halls of his home, from all three rooms came unhappy grumbles. No one in the house except Mic, thought anything good of this morning. "HONEY! THE FOOD IS READY!" He called to the room he shared with Aizawa. "KIDS, YOU TOO! BOTH OF YOU HAVE TO GET READY FOR SCHOOL!" And when no answer came from either of the children's rooms, he skipped down the hall, flinging Hitoshi's door open, he sang into the sleeping boy's room. "GET UUUUUUUP! I KNOW YOU'RE NOT SLEEPING! YOU NEVER DOOOOO!" The purple haired boy groaned and rose up, "Fuck you're loud." And from the doorway, another voice scolded, "Language, you little shit." Hizashi spun around to kiss his husband, Aizawa gave both a small smile and obliged to Hizashi's kisses. "What are you all doing?" Spoke the fourth member of the houshold, "Hanako! Dearest! You and your brother have your first day of UA today!" Hanako squinted her eyes, trying to register what her father just said. Then it hit her like a bus, "IT'S OUR FIRST DAY AT UA!" Hitoshi groaned again, Aizawa laughed and Hizashi gave her a sweet smile. "At least we know you're up now." Teased Hitoshi, "Shut up, you overgrown-insomniac grape!" Hitoshi sprang up and stood in her dorrway, "Yeah, yeah, you glorified chicken with a halo!" They both started laughing and Hizashi and Aizawa sighed and walked to the kitchen. The family ate breakfast together and Aizawa and both his children got in the car and drove to UA

In a dark room, a girl sat on her bed, staring at her alarm clock. she waited for it to ring and go off, and when it finally did, she got up and dressed herself in the grey and green UA uniform. The bruise on her shoulder hindering her movement slightly, she frowned and scolded herself internally for getting hit. She flicked on the hallway's light and walked through the empty house. The sound of her footsteps echoing a lonely tune as she hummed a sad melody. She stopped in her kitchen and fell silent, she listened to the creaking of the old house, watched the first rays of sun filter through the blinds. "Today is my first day of school mom."She said as she started to move again, preparing breakfast for herself, "I wonder what you'd say if you were here. If you knew I actually did it, I got in." She sat down at the crooked old wooden table to eat, and when she was done, she walked back to the kitchen basin slowly. She submerged the plate in the cold water and wiped off her hands, she stared at her reflection in the water and spoke softly, "Diablo would never have let me even enter the entrance exam. I'm glad he's not here, even if it means you aren't here, mom." And with that, Amara also left her home, locking the door and letting out a deep sigh.

As Izuku was walking down the street, a black car drove past. A girl with silver hair waved at him through the window, he noticed her UA uniform and figured that's why she waved at him. When he turned his head back to the front of him, he walked into someone's back. "The fuck? Shitty nerd?" Izuku's head shot up, his smile and wide and a sparkle in his eyes, "Kacchan-" But before he could even say hello, he was shoved to the ground. "Watch where you're walking shitty Deku." They both heard a laugh from the other side of the road, they looked toward the sound and saw a girl with pure white hair looking at them, a strange smile on her face. "The fuck you looking at extra?!" She ignored him and looked at Izuku, "My goodness, this is your type?" Izuku's face grew a deep shade of red and Bakugo screamed at her, "YOU IGNORING ME EXTRA?!" She smirked at him, "Extras don't usually talk to the main cast, sorry." By now Bakugo was fuming and Izuku was panicking. "You two better stop fooling around, you're going to be late." She said as she walked on again. Bakugo forgot about Izuku and stormed off after her, Izuku scrambled to his feet. "Isn't she the girl from the entrance exams?" He mumbled more under his breath, snapping out of his habit when Bakugo grabbed his arm, "Shitty Deku, we're going to be late! Move it!" Izuku smiled softly, at least he knew Bakugo still cared a little.
