"I'm sorry?" I looked at her, bewildered.
"Ahh, that cruel woman really wanted it to end with the two of you." Earn hissed, looking upon me, pitifully.
"What does that mean." My heart tightened, it knew that what I was about to hear wasn't going to be pleasant.
"The other Duke's had soulmates as well, though not all of them were lucky to have met them. But 'She' made your story a little different so that it would hit a dead end." Earn shrugged. "She purposefully made 'you' Sarawat's soulmate so that the two of you could never pass this down further, I'm guessing she had her fun."
"I understand that, but I want Sarawat and I to live a long life together." I begged, trying to reason with her, not knowing what she could even do.
"Well unfortunately she also designed the sand in your hourglass to run faster. I'd say at best you had half a year," as soon as she said this my head dropped. But it really had me thinking, a couple months ago I couldn't let myself die, but I've made more money in the last month than I have in my 8 years of working, my mother and Type would be okay.
"B-But Sarawat can live a long life?" I ignored the pain that erupted from my throat. Earn stared at me, with a blank look on her face.
"Ugh you're making me feel really bad." She groaned into her hand as she frowned. "You really have a knack of making people pity you, you know that." She got to her feet and walked over to the book shelf behind her.
She pulled a book out and tossed it in my lap. "That's everything you need to know about Pam and the secrets behind her spells."
"Why... are you giving me this?" I furrowed my eyebrows, wary of her cooperation. To be honest I could've just been feeling bias about what Lian said.
"Because I've always hated that bitch Pam. She turned my lover into a chicken and ate him." She scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest. "Run along now, she could be back any moment." Earn shooed me with one hand.
I turned around a walked towards the door but the sudden sound of bones breaking startled me, I looked back at Earn who screamed in pain as her arm was bent back abnormally. "Just insurance." She weakly chuckled. "I'll survive." With that she sent a gust of wind to shut the door on me.
-3rd POV
"Sir, I've come bearing news." Boss stood at the door, awaiting Sarawat's approval.
"Enter." He sighed, rubbing his temples.
"It's about Tine." He cleared his throat, knowing that Sarawat isn't going to enjoy this news.
"I can't do this today. What is it." He scoffed, a bitter look on his face.
"Tine has left with his belongings." Boss bit the inside of his cheek, waiting for the burst of anger.
Sarawat slammed his fist on the table, immediately jumping to his feet. He quickly started towards Tine's room, desperately hoping that Boss was mistaken. However, this was exactly what Sarawat wanted, but he couldn't understand why he hoping that Tine was still here.
He burst into the room only to find Boss's words to have been true. The room was deserted except for a piece of paper that sat on his dresser table.
He grabbed the piece of paper, head throbbing. He could feel his heart stop as the faint scent of Tine emitted from the paper.
Dear Wat,
I understand your efforts to make me hate you to make me leave you. But I can't, at least not while there could be a chance.
The mage told me that we were destined to be together and I am aware of our fate but I would like to try if I can.
I want this to end with us. I want us to live happily together.
Your little buffalo.
Sarawat crumpled the sheet of paper in his hand and pulled back to throw it to the ground but he couldn't bring himself to.
Why couldn't have Tine just gone home where he could watch from afar. Instead he'd left to find answers in God-knows where, with whom.
"FUCK!" Sarawat grabbed the dresser mirror and threw it to the ground where it shattered, as he shook in anger.
"Bring me that goddamn wizard." He gritted.

Tine rubbed his stiffening neck as he turned the pages over, skimming through them to find anything on the Danes. "Can I get you anything?" The innkeeper inquired, as he wiped the freshly washed cups.
"Just a beer for now, please." The young man smiled as the man poured him a beer from the wooden barrels behind him.
Tine sighed into his hand as he reverted his attention back to the book.
Pam had mentioned the curse more than a few times however it was as if she had expected someone to come in search for answers, since the journal lacked any form of assistance.
Though there were a few entries written in a Gaelic language. He had a feeling that the answer would be in whatever was written in those entires.
But the question still stood. Who in England would speak Gaelic of this manner. It would've had to be someone of Scottish descent.
"Sir," Tine beckoned the inn keeper. "Would you happen to know anyone of Scottish descent in the city." The question made the Inn keeper raise an eyebrow in an inquisitive manner.
"Well I suppose some Scottish people migrated over the years but I wouldn't say it's very common." He cocked his head.
"Well would you know anyone who would know how to read Gaelic?" Tine rephrased his question and the frown on the keeper's face subsided.
"Ah, as a matter of fact I would happen to know someone like that." He tapped the counter with his finger.
Tine waited anxiously for the man to rack his brain for the answer
