The Competition

4-The Truth

As you linked arms with Remus, you felt your face redden. You were hoping that it was dark enough where he wouldn't notice. The two of you walked in silence towards the Black Lake. The silence wasn't bad, it wasn't awkward but it was nice and peaceful. He took you by the hand and sat down, you went ahead and sat down next to him.

"The stars are beautiful tonight." You turned to look at him and smiled.

"That's not the only beautiful thing out here." He turned from the sky and looked you in the eye and immediately you started blushing. You had a huge smile on your face and it was so hard to hide it, same for Remus himself.

The two of you sat like that for a few minutes with your eyes locked. Before you knew it he had kissed you.

"Oh dear lord I am so sorry. I know we just met and I didn't mean to I'm so sorry." He looked away and to the ground and let go of your hand. You took his hand back into yours and used your other hand to guide him to look back at you.

"It's perfectly fine." And with that you kissed him back. He was so shocked, and so were you. Slowly the two of you were moving into a passionate kiss. He grabbed your waist and moved you to sit on his lap so you were straddling him. You felt his buldge twitch from under his pants and you began to grind him earning a soft groan from him. After a few minutes, you pulled away with a smile to catch your breath. But your smile quickly faded as you noticed that Remus had a worried look on his face. You felt uncomfortable and started to regret kissing him back so you moved off his lap.

"Remus? What's wrong? Should I have not done that? I'm sorry if I took a step too far.." You didn't feel like making eye contact so you just stared at the beautiful full moon.

"No no it's ok seriously... Today is a full moon... I thought it was next week... You need to head back to the castle. Now!" He got up quickly and tried to run the opposite direction from you but before he could it happened.

"Re- Remus? Wha-" Before you could finish your sentence, someone grabbed you by your waist and pulled you behind a tree. "Sev- Severus?!? What in the world are you doing here?? Were you spying on me?!?" Before you could say anymore he put his finger up to your lips to shush you.

"I told you it wasn't safe and I didn't want you out here alone with him out of all people. You should've listened." You peeked around the tree and to your horror, Remus had turned into a werewolf.

"Is he- a-"

"Werewolf yes. Since he was young." Remus had went the opposite direction of the tree and so Severus had pulled you by your hand into the castle. He walked so fast he was basically dragging you around. When the two of you finally reached his chambers, he slammed the door shut and pushed you up against the wall. "Why would you go out there with him?! I told you it was dangerous and you would get hurt! And what are you doing?? Kissing a man you just met!" Before he could continue to yell at you, you cut him off.

"Oh so you were watching us! I can take care of myself Severus! I don't need you tell me what to do ok?? Just let me do whatever and whenever I want to. And mind your own business, that is so low of you to be hiding and watching everything Remus and I do! Do you not trust me?! And why does it matter to you anyway?? You don't have a reason to be mad at my choices Severus. And don't talk to me, I'm not in the mood to. Because I just found out that my bestfriend doesn't trust me to make my own choices. I'll see you around Severus." And before he could say anything you had already left his chambers to return to your own. 

You felt bad about how you exploded and yelled at him like that, but you needed him to hear it. You were tired from the long night so you decided to take a nice shower and head to bed. Rolling around you couldn't get a wink of sleep, you kept thinking about Severus and how he reacted when you yelled at him. At first his face was all red and angry and when you started to yell at him, his face softened and he felt like he hurt you. Like he didn't know how to take it all back. Then you thought about Remus and if he was ok after the whole werewolf and full moon thing. Did he not have a potion for it? Surely he wouldv'e bought some while in London or Dumbledore wouldv'e asked Severus to make it for him. You didn't know and all you wanted was to stop thinking about what had happened and go to sleep.
