Its been a few days since you've seen Severus or Remus besides at meal times. Everyones schedules were so busy and hectic trying to prepare for mid-terms. But you would exchange glances to one another during meal times and walking past by in the halls. It was almost finally the weekend and you couldn't wait to see Remus, and Severus after what had happened in his classroom the other night before they were disturbed by Filtch and Harry.
It was Friday and you were starting the last class you had for the day. Todays lesson was just another review day. Yesterday they wrote an essay on what they have learned so far and today you decided that since it was the last day of the week, you let them practice the spells they have learned throughout the first term.
"Good afternoon class," You waited until everyone was seated and prepared for class to start before continuing.
"Todays class is fairly simple since it's the last day before the weekend. Everyone please get in a group of five or less, you may practice spells and charms you have learned so far this whole term. And please be careful, I will be walking around and assist you if you need it. Now chop chop! And have fun!"
The class scrambled out of their seats to find their groups and all you heard were happy chatters amoung the students glad to be working with their friends. You leaned back on your desk with a grin plastered on your face to see how happy and excited the students were. Slowly you started to walk around the room and stopped a few feet behind Neville Longbottom.
"Avis!" Neville had tried his best to conjure birds but only a few feathers had appeared onto the desk where his wand was directed to. He drew his wand back in disppointment and turned around to you. Looking down at his shoes he mumbled a soft apology.
"Neville it's okay, why don't you try again, this time attempt to concentrate more on the birds. You can do this, I know you can but you have to belive you can too. Can you do that for me Neville?"
"...I- I can try.." Slowly turning around he was scared to fail again. But his mood lightened when he noticed all the support he had from not only you but his friends too.
"You got this Neville!!"
"They're just birds, you can do it!"
"Concentrate Neville, I know you can do it!"
"Let's go Longbottom! Show those birds who you are!"
He smiled and took a deep breath. "Avis!"
A bird had appeared onto the desk where Neville had pointed his wand once again. Then another bird. And another. There was a second of silence then the class burst out in happy cheers congradulating the boy. His confidence had definetly boosted from that. Turned around to face you once again.
"Great job Neville, I knew you could do it!"
You gave him a high-five and moved on to the next group and kept moving until the end of the class approached. Finally the bell rang and you grabbed your things to head back to your chambers and get ready for dinner.
On the way down to your chambers, you spotted a bundle of black cloaks that you immediately recognized.
"Sev!" You ran up to him to catch up with his long strides. He spun around quickly and once he realized it was you, he stopped what he was doing and walked to you.
"Y/n! Hello, where are you off to?"
"Hi! I'm headed down to my chambers to get ready for dinner. This has been the longest week ever and I'm in desperate need of a shower. What about you?"
"I'm doing the same actually, mind if I walk you down to your quarters?"
You nodded and walked by his side while the two of you talked about your week. Soon enough the two of you arrived to your quarters. It felt like it lasted seconds. You missed him. Missed all those times the two of you would just talk. Nothing but talk. It felt like its been forever since those days. You said your goodbyes until dinner and he left towards his chambers. It didn't take awhile until he did since all the professors quarters were in the same wing.
