CW//Gender dysphoria.
Out of nowhere, he heard someone clear their throat. "Sapnap?"
Dream got out of his car and slammed the door shut, clicking the lock as he walked back towards his house. He hummed quietly to himself as he headed inside to sit down on his couch, but first, he needed to unpack the groceries that he'd brought.
He pulled everything out of the bags and stored it away in the kitchen before making his way back to his living room, flopping down onto the couch and grabbing his phone out of his pocket. After scrolling on twitter for an agonising amount of time, liking a bunch of random fanart, he sat up and went to turn the television on. "What...," He grumbled, reaching around for the remote but he couldn't feel it. "Where the fuck did I put it-?"
Dream got off of the couch and started searching for it, checking behind the couch, behind the tv, underneath the couch cushions, in the drawers, on the countertop, but he still couldn't find it. As he sighed, he decided to check behind the couch again, this time with the light of his phone.
He heard footsteps come into the lounge but ignored them, just muttering angrily under his breath as he looked around, and the steps left again a few moments later. Just minutes after he'd crawled back out and sat down, groaning in defeat, he heard Sapnap calling out to him. "Oh... Maybe he found the remote..?" So, of course, he got to his feet with newfound hope and started heading towards his bedroom, locating the source of the sound.
Dream zoned out as he walked, still trying to deduce where he'd left the remote, when he set foot in his room and cleared his throat, trying to get the raveonette's attention. "Sapnap?," He asked. "You don't happen to know where the..." He cut himself off as Sapnap whipped around, bright red in embarrassment. "Oh... Umm... Hi..?" He replied with an uneasy laugh.
"I see... Are your clothes in the wash? Because, like, you could always just ask to borrow mine... I don't mind, Sap, they might be a little big though." He chuckled, slowly walking over. Sapnap just hummed in response as he unconsciously leaned against the taller, resting his tired head as his heart raced.
"Yeah, okay... My hoodie's are in the wash, I was cold...," He admitted, not willing to say how much he preferred it over all other clothes, just because it held the lingering scent that he'd quickly grown to associate with comfort. "But, uhh, now that you're here! I actually have something to tell you, dude."
Dream nodded, looking down at him expectantly, so Sapnap took a deep breath. "Well, you see... I Wasn't... Really... BornAGuyBecauseI'mActuallyTransSoIUsedToBeAGirlTechnicallyButI'mActuallyABoyAndIJustWantedYouToKnowThat-" He spat out, stumbling over his words. "Woahhh there- slow down, dude, I can barely understand you." Dream laughed, giving him a quick pat on the back. "Sorry...," Sapnap replied. "But, umm, I'm trans... I wasn't born in the body of a guy but I just am, y'know? I'm a guy, and I needed you to know that because I feel terrible hiding it... I also just suck at keeping secrets."
"Trans?," Dream repeated, pausing for a moment to make sure that he hadn't heard 'trains' or some other dumb shit. "Cool."
"Wait- you- you aren't gonna say anything..?" Sapnap asked, scrunching up his brow in slight confusion. Dream shook his head. "Nope, I heard you, what else is there to say?"
"That... Wasn't really what I expected..."
"I'm bi, dude, i'm not homophobic or transphobic or anything like that... You know that, right? I'll always support you, you're my best friend!" He replied. Sapnap immediately started smiling, face splitting into a grin. "Awesome... So, like... What's your opinion on Chris Pratt?"
"He's... old? I dunno, he's not as tall as me though."
Sapnap sighed. "Alright, whatever... Do YOU have any questions? I can answer basically anything, i've lived both lives... But before you ask, yes, I got surgery and am not just constantly binding... So don't worry... Yes, I still get periods, just not very often and not very heavy... No, I will not stop making jokes about my nonexistent dick so don't even try- and... That's about it"
"I... Don't... Really wanna be invasive, dude, i'm not gonna as-."
"I can see it in your eyes, you're curious, just ask the damn question... I really don't care, i've probably experienced worse, your questions won't make me uncomfortable." Sapnap sighed and Dream paused, wondering how to word it without just sounding really fucking weird... Which he probably still did. "So, like... You can't have kids, can you? Because that would be... Kinda weird... If you just, like, texted me one day with no context that you were... Y'know..."
"I... Stand somewhat corrected... I don't really know if I wanna answer that..."
"Shit- Sorry, dude, I didn't-."
"Nahhh," Sapnap laughed, shrugging him off. "I'm just messing with ya', I honestly don't care... But to answer you; nope! Hormone therapy killed everything off, basically... Which I take as a major dub, I hate most kids, they won't stop screaming."
"Y'know...," Sapnap said thoughtfully, remembering the good old days when he had flown for ages, just to see some relatives. "I actually have, like, four half Sisters... My biological Dad's children, my Mom broke up with him and he left when I was pretty young, though, and I haven't met them very many times... Only four times, actually, three times when I still lived with my Mom and her boyfriend, the other time just last year when I was finally living alone... I've visited them for one of each kid's birthdays"
"Wait- you've got Sisters!? Dude, i've only got one sister and she's more than enough... I can NOT imagine FOUR!" Dream said, amazed. Sapnap shook his head with a small smile. "Yeah, children can be a pain sometimes... But... They're nice! We may only have the same Dad but I can sometimes see little parts of me in them, we're similar in some really little and almost unnoticeable ways, my Dad always said so... Like he was raising four slightly different versions of me."
"So, you're the oldest?" Dream asked curiously, setting his phone face down to properly focus. "Mhmm, they're all only a year apart, it's hilarious, because the oldest was born in March, second in June, third in September and fourth in December... Imagining celebrating a birthday every three months, every year, for several years and more to come..." Sapnap replied, almost smiling as he imagined the smug looks on their faces whenever it was their birthday, rubbing it in with everybody that they spoke to.
Sapnap sighed, thoughts getting sadder as the memories dampened. "My Dad was so close to winning custody of me... Life would've been so much better if i'd lived with him... He's the first family member that I actually came out to and he was so nice about it... He actually accepted me for who I am."
"Do you ever really speak to him anymore? Or, like, are you too busy with streaming and videos and your mystery disappearances right now?" He questioned, playing it off with a small laugh. "Yeah... Haha... I call him on Father's day and on my Sisters' birthdays, I don't visit them though because I am NOT flying all the way out to Greece again, dude, planes absolutely suck..."
"Greece..?"
"Yeah... Did I just not tell you this? I'm part Greek, my Dad was born there, he just moved to the USA a year or two before meeting my Mom," Sapnap snickered, finding his confusion funny. "He met some Australian woman when he moved back there so my Sisters are half as well, they speak both languages but I forgot pretty much everything sooo... Yeah, I can't speak Greek anymore, I know, like, five words... Quackity's been trying to teach me a bit of Spanish though..!"
"I know a little bit, so... Maybe test it on me? What has he told you?"
"Uhh... Soy bajo..? Or something like that, I dunno... This was, like, months ago... I probably messed it up"
"I-...," Dream snorted. "Perfect... Also, I forgot to mention, George got his visa today-."
"WHAT! REALLY? WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT FIRST!?"
