CW//Suicide/death wishes.

The house was empty... Dream and George had gone out to the movies while Sapnap had stayed home, claiming that he was feeling sick and couldn't be bothered to go... While this was partially true, he didn't feel like telling them that intense dysphoria concerning his physical appearance was restricting him from feeling like going out into public... While the pair were enjoying a film, he was just trying to get through a breakdown in the corner of his bathroom.

He checked his phone.

No new messages.

"They... They must be having fun without me... I wonder what day it is today?" He mumbled.

It was Mothers day.

Sapnap let out a broken sob, choking it out of his aching chest like a cough. "All these years... And I still haven't said a word to her... Not even a hello...," He whispered, shakily getting to his feet. "What if... What if she could've changed? I could've helped her understand and we could've gotten closer..."

He picked up his keys and got into his car, trusting himself to drive with blurry tear-filled eyes... It didn't matter, anyways, because if he crashed... Well... He wouldn't have to deal with everything going on at the moment...

"I hope that I DO crash..." He hissed, pressing his foot down on the accelerator pedal as he sped off down the road, watching as the street flew by below him and his wheels.

"Everything is just... Shit... Dysphoria is kicking my ass," He cried to nobody in particular, seemingly talking to himself. "Sometimes... Sometimes I don't even feel human... And those are the times where my only comfort is the bottom of the bottle..."

Sapnap let out another sigh, slowing down as not to go careening through an intersection, he didn't really want to die such a stupid death... Especially not with a ten car pileup, that would make him feel awful if he somehow survived.

"Maybe... Maybe I should just end it all...," He whispered. "T-they wouldn't mind it, would they? They haven't even noticed all of the scars... Not my arms, not my chest, why would they even care if I just disappeared..? I d-don't even have to tell anybody..."

He slapped himself as he pulled up outside of a house, stumbling inside. "No... I'll go and talk to him... If he did it once then m-maybe he can do it again, and end it once and for all..." Sapnap sighed, rubbing his forehead.

The first thing that he saw was a few paintings, only one, however, really caught his eye... A large steel bridge, arching high above the waves of the ocean...

As her legs dangled over the edge, she wiped her tears and took a deep breath. Sapnap picked up her phone and called her best friend, hoping that they would be able to talk her down... She didn't really want to die... But she didn't know what else to do... Didn't know how to properly deal with her bottled up emotions.

"Please... Dream... Just pick up one more time..." She whispered, remembering how he'd always been there to answer her calls before the third ring. One turned to two, two to three, and three to four... Soon it was just the voicemail... The voicemail that they'd made together...

"Uhh... Hi! This is Dream, i'm not currently available to- to take your call right now-," He snickered. "Too bad! I've got more i-i-important things to do." You could hear Sapnap laughing in the background, coming through a discord call. "Yeah! We're busy, either playing minecraft or making out... Maybe... Both!"

"Sapnap!" Dream laughed. "Whaaaat?," She grinned in return, giggling happily. "I mean... It's true! No homo, though, we're just being homies..."

Sapnap switched her phone off and threw it down onto the concrete sidewalk, the only thing keeping it from shattering being its thick rubber casing. "You... Let me down..." She said slowly, letting the tears run hot and fresh as she turned back towards the ledge, watching the rippling waves of the water below her.

Just as she was getting ready to drop off, an arm grabbed her shoulder and pulled her back, a panicked voice begging her not to do it. Sapnap was so surprised that she nearly fell anyway. "Please! Don't throw your life away... Please, please, please- there are better ways to figure things out!" They said quickly, rushing to gently usher her off of the railing.

"I..." Was all that she could get out, confused on why some random stranger was showing such compassion even though they'd never met her before now.

She stood back and looked up at the blonde highschooler, feeling the waterworks suddenly turn back on. "I-i'm sorry..." She apologised despite having nothing to really be sorry for, just flinging herself into their arms and crying into their hoodie. They stood there, returning the spontaneous hug and allowing her to just cry, and scream, and release all of the cooped up feelings. "I've got you... Let it all out... What's your name, kiddo? Your parents are probably worried sick about you."

"S-Sapnap..." She stuttered out. "My... Parents? I-I just live with my Mom, Dad's in Greece... And Momma's boyfriend is in jail..."

They were stunned and silent. "Well, umm, my name is Punz... Do you need any help getting home..?"

"N-not yet... Momma's angry at me... Can I just s-stay with you for a bit? Just a couple of hours..." Sapnap whispered.

"Okay..."

Sapnap ran to the bathroom and slammed the door shut, just staring himself in the mirror as he hyperventilated.

"I... Can't... Do this anymore..."
