I present to you a chapter that I am finally decently pleased with, at least in my opinion. Enjoy :)
Jedi General Depa Billaba and her Padawan Commander Caleb Dume had completed their probationary objectives on Kashyyyk, establishing an alliance between the Republic, and the Wookie systems.
Upon returning, they received a rare beacon to a second mission, to reinforce a battalion that was evidently losing momentum.
"Master, where are we going?"
"To reinforce the 501st legion on Florrum, Caleb."
"The 501st?" Caleb shrilled, his voice pitched high with sheer delight, "That's...That's the battalion of Master Skywalker!"
"Ah, I see you have been quite thorough with your studies."
"Well, I mainly remember the few that interest me actually. Sorry to disappoint."
Chuckling, she muttered, "If only you were as serious in all aspects."
(On Florrum)
"Master, their shields are too steady. We need to devise a second plan!" Ahsoka's voice rung through vibrations of blaster fire.
"I'm open to ideas. What have you got?" Anakin returned in an echo.
"You and the boys cause a distraction, I will sneak in through the ventilation here, and plant the bombs." She motioned through a wrist projector.
"At the rate we're losing our men, there won't be enough of us to mount a major distraction."
"What about reinforcements? Our beacon would have reached someone by now."
"You mean if the beacon was even sent out." Anakin dreaded.
"If there's anything I've learned from you, Skyguy, luck is somehow always on our side." Ahsoka snipped, and as if on cue, a battalion approached from behind the fire-lines, drawing a desperate landing as their shuttles rapidly descended onto the harsh battlefield. Then their compartments opened to unveil the squadrons of green helmets, along with the Padawan and Master that accompanied them.
"Master Billaba." Skywalker waved, as she raced to barricade behind the stone wall he was situated in, with Caleb trailing dutifully behind.
"So glad you could make the party, Master."
"It is my pleasure, Skywalker." Billaba responded, turning to Dume, "Padawan, aren't you going to introduce yourself?"
"Of course!" Caleb gulped, "Salutations, Master Skywalker, my name is Caleb Dume, Padawan learner."
From the opposite stone, Ahsoka tilted her head to identify the two novel presences, astonished to view a younger Padawan upon the frightful fields of battle.
"Nice to meet you, Caleb." Anakin swiftly proceeded to underline their intrusion tactic, around which the Padawans would discreetly sneak into the droid factory, whilst both masters would occupy the attention of existing battle droids.
Making a force dash to Ahsoka, Caleb announced, "Let's go, Padawan Tano. A war won't win itself."
"You know my name?" She murmured inaudibly.
"Alright, after you then." Though just before vanishing from her master's vision, she could swear she perceived from him a smirk in hers. Regardless, dismissing the thought, she sped rapidly behind the tot but agile form of Caleb, during which commentary was inevitable.
"You're quite fast, little Padawan." She quipped with a simper.
"Hey! I'm not that little, you know." He retaliated, though to his chagrin, the togruta's smirk was only stretched wider.
