Harry Styles
When I saw Sydney all made up, god I nearly passed out.
She looked beautiful, so unbelievably gorgeous and I couldn't quite believe my eyes. It was like looking at a real life goddess, whoever did her makeup made her eyes look so damn gorgeous I found myself getting lost in them for a few seconds before Jamie gave me a little nudge.
We were all so excited to be there. Strangely enough Sydney was the one nervous out of us all. She's never normally like that and I wish she wasn't nervous, she has no need to be. She's one of the most talented people in here, one of the most beautiful too and I wish she knew that, I wish she could see it.
The awards have been incredible so far, the opening act was just astounding. It was a pop group, not our genre however it was great music and calmed Sydney's never, she was dancing away to herself, applauded louder hanger when they finished. I can't get over how gorgeous she looks.
They were working their way through the country awards, followed by a performance from an amazing country star. I'm not a big country guy, however after this, I might well be. Something about award shows is that you always learn so much. On the road we don't get the chance to listen to a lot of new music or pay attention to new artists, so coming here and meeting heaps of new people and hearing lots of music, it's always so enjoyable. We also get to meet our favourites, be in the presence of the very people that inspire us most.
For our category best rock album, we are up against one of our favourite bands ever, the kats. In all three categories we are up against such incredible artists but to be nominated alongside one of your biggest inspirations, it's an achievement in itself. To be nominated for best artist, an award that doesn't define us by our genre is also insane. It's a lot to comprehend and I don't care if we win or not, being here is enough for me.
Nick told us they would move on to the rock category next, start with best rock single which we're nominated for, and then there's a television break where we open the show again after the pause with a live performance. That's insane, the welcome back is us, our music, our song. We could lose the award and still we've won by holding the performance slot.
'Alright, we'll move on the Best Rock Single.' One of the hosts said, an A-list actress that I didn't know.
All of us held hands, Sydney squeezed mine tighter than ever. Her legs were bouncing and suddenly I felt all of the nerves she did previously. We were all nervous as they read out our name as a nominee, but we had to play it off as there was a camera right in front of our faces. Myles said something I didn't hear, something shout him loving us regardless which in hindsight makes me laugh.
'The Best Rock Single award goes to the one and only Eighteen Four with their hit single 'What A Feeling.''
I don't think any of us quite understood what just happened, we all reacted so differently. Jamie sprung to his feet, picking Kyla up and spinning her around in the air. Myles let out the loudest cheer and blew a whistle, hugging Mick with the biggest grin on his face. I remained seated, in total awe of what had just happened, meanwhile Sydney jumped up and down, grabbing me by the hands so she could throw her arms around me.
'Oh my god,' She squealed, kicking her feet in the air as I leaned back, lifting her off the ground.
We hugged each other, a hug that was as if we had gone years without seeing each other. We were looking so proud, all so blown away by the moment that Nick had to usher us to go on stage as we were too busy screaming at each other in pure excitement.
Sydney hugged the host before accepting the award, the actress went to shake her hand but of course, Sydney went for the hug because she was overwhelmed with joy. It was sweet, the four of us stood up at that podium, waiting for Sydney to talk on our behalf because she does a better job at all of this than we do,
