Harry Styles

We got back from London late last night. We spent a few days there as a band rehearsing for our tour. We sorted out a set list and all we have to do now is work through it, blend some songs together and make it seamless. We also now have a great stage layout, lights and screens and everything that makes us look cool. I'm excited to tour.

Sydney stayed over last night, we were gonna stay in London for a few more days but Jasmine's baby is now overdue and Sydney wanted to be there for her, especially seeing as we're leaving in three weeks.

Having Sydney stay over in my childhood bedroom, the one she'd sit on the end of the bed watching me play guitar as I tried to teach her, where she'd look at all my records and hope I'd tell her she could borrow one, all those memories we created as friends, only now to have her here as my girlfriend feels like the world's greatest crossover. Now she lies here in my arms as love fills the air around us, knowing we've made it.

'Morning,' Sydney smiled, head submerged between the pillow and the duvet as the sun cracked through the blinds casting the most beautiful glow over her cheeks.

'Morning rock star.' I said, rolling over to lie closer to her. 'You look beautiful.'

Her cheeks went pink and a smile crept onto her face, a sight I could never grow tired of. I love waking up next to her, having her by my side has changed so many things for me in the best way possible and I don't know if Sydney will ever realise the positive impact she has on those around her.

We lay in bed for a while, joined by my dog, Annie, before getting up and heading downstairs for a cup of tea. This is the sense of normality I've craved to share with honey while being on tour, the simple act of waking up in bed, going for a cup of tea in the kitchen, having a slice of toast, and sitting in the kitchen talking about all sorts of rubbish.

Unfortunately Sydney couldn't stay, she had to go back to Jasmines to help out just in case anything happened. I was sad to see her go, despite spending the last four days in her company. You get used to being in someone's company for so long that when you have to part ways it makes you feel a little lost.

Mum was looking at me with a smile on her face, I didn't realise until I looked across at her and saw that smug look she was wearing. She was laughing at the fact that since Sydney left I've sat on the sofa with Annie, staring at the ceiling like a love struck teenage boy. She forced me to sit outside in the garden, play with the dog and get some sunlight because she thinks I need it.

Mum worked away in the garden, dad was there for a little while too helping her until he went back upstairs to tackle the loft. My job was to entertain Annie, the easiest job. I had a book to read too, and there was something I missed so much about the easiness of being home on a day like this where there's nothing to do. I've missed being just Harry and not having people walk a few steps behind us when we go to the pub or being followed by journalists when we're going for lunch. I've missed the normality and I was trying to make the most of it while being at home before tour again.

I made mum and dad lunch, it was my treat and I bought some cakes from the shop too. I was on the tea and coffee schedule, making constant runs to the kettle when either of them wanted a caffeine fix. I didn't mind it though, I spent the whole day doing nothing and yet it was a day I really enjoyed.

The evening was soon to roll round and my mum came and sat on the bench outside next to me, taking Annie's place. She was finished with her hard work in the garden. I'd have offered to help if she wasn't so specific about how it all looked but for the day, she was done and she had time for a rest before she'd be making dad and I our supper.

'Dad was telling me he gave you the ring.' Mum said, looking over at me with that look that told me she was trying not to smile or make a fuss, but internally she was going crazy.
